From my experience, they will order from you, after writing and submitting the work. They will insist that's not what they want(without stating what the adjustments needs to be). Then, they will go ahead and write to support and they will get refund and block you.

I've not had any experience. I ensure that all my services are not too cheap to avoid phony Nigerians, Pakistans and Indians.

I avoid applying for jobs posted by Nigerians on Upwork. I will take other African countries though

If that's true then it's very unfair. I've been on Fiverr for quite sometime but I've never ever seen my impression and views consistently this bad.

At a point I knew it had to be intentional. But if that's the case, then Fiverr has handled the whole thing badly. Are they trying to force Nigerians off their platform then?

What can you do about it? There are always going to be scammers wether we like it or not. I thought the whole verification and ID thing was to separate the sheep from the goat.

I always wonder why my gigs have been on the last page since January, I guess maybe it's because of this. Even though I still get little order from repeat buyers and request page.

Okay. One thing I have learnt over time is that getting sales on Fiverr is not about the nice skill set you have and all. It's all about RANKING.
Yeah, some get orders through buyer's request and all but the best place to generate sales is on page one.

It's not a Nigerian/African thing. Many sellers from other countries have been complaining about the same issue on fiverr forum since late last year.

I think it's due to a change in their algorithm. A possibility is that they don't want a particular set of gigs/sellers dominating the first page. They are probably trying to give everyone the opportunity to "taste" the front page once in a while.

My observation; if my gig, on last page, is able to win some good paying jobs through the buyers request page, the gig would jump straight to the front page.
If it were to be a Nigerian/African thing, the gig would not jump to the first page.

The points above remain my speculations

Honestly, it's so sad. I didn't buy review also when mine happened, I just bought a review afterwards to leave level one and move to level two. I have delivered over 25 orders all 5 stars, yet still at the last page . I don't even know what is happening. My impression is over 800, something that used to be 50k. My earning has dropped drastically that I even struggle to earn above $500 every month.

Me that don't usually visit BR page now go there and shocked at the low price those Italians pay for 30k words. I can't even do that. I send offers shall but my price is always higher than the client's budget

It's unfortunate. But most of the issues I have been reading here can be traced to Nigerian scammers who keep destroying the reputation of our flag.

My advice for everyone here is simple.

Prepare for the worst on fiverr.

Nigeria's reputation for scamming has hit the roof.

Businesses in the US now use Nigeria as a case study for a failed, corrupt nation.

If you are doing MBA in the US, this should not surprise you.

To stay in business, start advertising your business on Craigslist, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.

If you don't have a social media page for your business (whether you are a writer, web program etc.), you are not thinking about the future.

I have been reading about Nigerian Fiverr Sellers complaining about last page and relegation issue.
I confidently run my Nigerian account and I'm still getting orders( I got three orders today negotiating the fourth order) although I have subsidized my rate a little.
