God bless u my man. People like you are a rear gem. Actually, my career part has been in accounting and I wish to continue in that line. I made upper credit both in my ND and HND. So, accounting is in my blood. What I am actually concerned about it funding for acounting programme. I barely see such post here. Please if anyone knows schools that offers good funding for macc program, ill be overly appreciative. God bless the house and bless other persons seeking for US visa.

Try UTexas, Corpus Christi.

Is it advisable to pay visa fee and fill your ds 160 with the situation of things around the world now?

Hi guys! Anybody that applied to Bowling Green State University GA position for COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY, ARCHITECTURE & APPLIED ENGINEERING here? How did you get your recommendations over to the college?

Will they access the recommendations submitted online during graduate school application or will the recommender have to mail the paper recommendation to the college?

I am not really clear about it and have attached the document for the gurus in the house. Appreciations.

Hi, Ijust got admit for MS Analytics and want to start the application process for the GA thing. Is your dept requesting for letters of recommendations? I know i saw in one of the many listed GA roles available, one which they said they just need the contact details of recommenders and not necessarily a letter from them.

You can start filling your DS-160 form but it’s not ideal for you to pay visa fee at this time. Why don’t you wait till US embassy in Nigeria resume consular activities before paying and booking a date.

You could just email “tegrad” asking if your recommender could send it via email.

Good luck!

It doesn’t have to be by mail. Your recommender can send it via email.

So what you need to figure out now is the appropriate email that your recommender can forward it to.

Good luck!

boss i sent you a pm, please check. Thanks

Yes they are requesting the recommenders to fill out the portion meant for them in the form I attached previously and send it directly back to the department. My problem is getting the three referees to mail the form to them. When i add mailing of the application form proper, that's 4 shipping o. It would be cost intensive.

The GA is specific to my department, not the listed one

Attached is a copy of my own official transcript, and my scores were clearly stated. I made my earlier post based on what is obtainable from my own undergraduate school which I felt should be the same for every other schools.

You may be right, all schools may not be the same in terms of transcripts..

So I think this should end the scores or no scores on transcript argument.

On the other note, 70-100 is A in Nigeria while in the US and with WES, 90-100 is A, 85-90 is B+ and 80 to 84 is B.

In the case of transcript without scores, Don't you think WES might have requested for the raw scores during the verification mail which was always sent from WES to the schools after WES received the transcript from the delivery firm? . The verification mail is always confidential to both WES and your SCHOOL only which the student applicant don't always get to see?. This is just my thought.

All the same, let's move on.

Good morning House.
I was able to raise roughly 6 million naira from personal savings and family donations and i am very interested in pursuing a masters in public health in a USA school.
Will 6million naira be enough?

It should be enough depending on several factors.

1. Location of your school (rural or urban)

2. If you have funding from your school or you are solely self funded.

3. If you will be able to get on campus job to offset some living expense bill.

Just do your research and prepare very well

I got admitted to Virginia Tech Master of Accounting and Information Systems program (MACIS) and also Kansas State University Manhattan Campus to study Masters in Accountancy (MAcc program).

Virginia tech offered me paid teaching assistantship which qualified me to pay instate tuition, out of which my department is covering 50percent and health insurance.

Kansas offered me scholarship towards tuition but I am yet to know the exact percentage.

After the covid-19 is over, US might not be a place to go for now. Because everything is upside down. Unemployment hit the highest number in decades. A lot still going to lose jobs after September

If you are discouraged, please don't discourage others. This is a pandemic and affecting all countries. You can as well stay back your country than discourage others.

You already understand my point. He was saying ALL transcript must have scores and without it it is Unofficial. And I said not all will have it.
Some probably new people might see it and think his/her transcript is not official since each score is not stated like yours.

For verification email, I dont really think so. I think the verification email was stated later when they discover some fraudulent acts by some students.

I am not here to argue with you. I just dont want you to mislead others.
Some people feel they know all, to accept that they make mistake is a problem.

It is simple. Let me give an example.

Course Grade
Course 1 A
Course 2 B
Course 3 C

Legend
A 70- 100
B 60- 69
C 50- 59.... etc...

So each course score is not stated but what each letter means is explained. I hope you get!

as someone that works in an exam room and with records your scores is always written in the front of the course the individual took and the grading system such as the A, B, C, D, E is at the bottom of the page be it the first or last page

I think I am done with this.
Which exam room?
Do you work with all schools?
I said SOME.
Maybe the school you work with has it. I did not deny that.
Get the point. SOME do not have it.
Why do we all have 'hasty generalization'. The world does not revolve round only about what you have seen.

Gboyegad and obinoscopy, Please I have got two issues that I could use your help to iron out.

Firstly, I learnt I will have to visit USA to write TOEFL, it looks like a dead end seeing how their embassies in Nigeria deny VISA applications, is it feasible at all? Just looking for a gleam of hope or success.

Secondly, this 1600 internship hours affair, how is the migrant legible to do other work and sustain himself or he'll be feeding off savings he brought to USA from home?

Thirdly, what is the least amount required in bank account in order to facilitate VISA approval. So that adequate preparations can be put into place from now.

Thanks as I anticipate your replies, gentle men.
