zionmde:No you are using your village as yardstick not Lagos There's no where in lagos with more Igbo artisans than Yoruba artisans. Granted! the Hausas(Northerners) are used to do hard labour across Nigeria because they don't often have the skills to do semi skilled labour, but that doesn't mean they contribute to Nigerian economy than an average Yoruba artisan. Stop using your village as a yardstick for Nigeria. It's quite remote. 34 Likes |

kettykings: Always showing your illiteracy everywhere you go. It is elementary economics that one should be able to differentiate between GDP and GNP. One is a Gross domestic product which is the total value of goods and services produced in a particular country or state per annum without considering the nationality of those taking part in the production while Gross national product is the Gross National production which is the monetary value of all goods and services produced by the nationals of a country irrespective of their place of residence. From this definition, it is clear that the Lagos and southwest GDP figure belongs to the region no matter the nationality or the ethnicity of those involved in such economic activities. Secondly, it is always a point of pride for a country, state or geographical location to be able to attract investor both locally and internationally. Ability to attract investment shows that such a state is doing well. If it easy, why didn't your village in poto republic attract such? 23 Likes |

zionmde:First Define hardworking You are not making sense A doctor is not a bricklayer A doctor can only be hardworking in his work as a doctor You compare how hardworking he is against other doctors not against soldiers To say say a Hausa doctor is more hardworking than a Yoruba doctor is the comparison required How can we measure that We cannot say a footballer is more hardworking than a boxer there is no basis for comparison 18 Likes |

zionmde:Oh God So you have no idea that what makes up an economy is the GDP which consists of services and goods. Do you understand that without the artisans, Nigeria would have had to import foreign workers to do those works which will reduce from our GDP. I was thinking I was arguing with someone that understands the basic concept of economics. And working hard does not make the northerners contribute more than us, does it? 9 Likes |

kettykings: I don't think this part is truly from the depth of the writer's heart. The North is known for divide and rule. They know how to dribble Igbos and Yoruba's. Each time they are bashing the South East (for instance) they wittingly draw the South West closer and vice versa. Today, this Hausa Fulani writer is bashing the Yorubas . Suddenly, he feels sympathy for the manner Buhari is treating Igbos. Tomorrow the reverse will be the case. . 16 Likes 3 Shares |
