x = 99/1.5

x = 66

199 birds are flying. The birds that that one bird met are obviously more than a hundred therefore they will need to remove half of themselves 198/2= 99 then after that they add that one bird to make hundred. The question requires more logic than maths.

They said a group of birds not bird were flying and they met a bird singular one and the bird greeted them hello hundred implying it taught they were hundred and they (the group of birds) said they are not hundred that they need half of the group of birds half of the group of birds=198/2=99 plus + you the bird they met singular meaning 1

So in conclusion the group of birds are 198

No 198 is also not hundred. Need can mean we have to do away with depends on how you see it.

x != 100 is not the same as x < 100, it is x<>100

A bird has to fly to meet another flying bird haba we are talking about the sky here I don't think a bird can stay on air without flying definitely the singular bird is flying

0.5x + 1 = 100
0.5x = 100 - 1

(Divide both sides by 0.5)
x = 99/0.5
x = 198

I mean we assign mathematical operations to everything instead of thinking logically first then applying mathematics.

There are 198 birds.
Since they need half of 198 which is 99,
plus 1 to make 100
