About to cook okra. Am I the only one that would rather not cook SOUP without stock fish or dry fish. I think they are more important than any artificial seasoning. Pic 1: okro and the rest. Pic 2: Lamb, first time trying it. Pic 3: Blended yellow pepper and dried prawns. Gives very nice flavour to soup. I have fresh prawns too, can I remove the head? Find it creepy? 20 Likes

thelastorca: Well, If u must know I have a fully paid health insurance which allows me to visit the hospital along with my spouse and 4 kids for the slightest headache, but I decided against going to the hospital because of the issues surrounding this whole COVID-19. One hospital close to my preferred hospital had a COVID-19 positive patient upper week and the doctors and nurses who attended to the patient had to be isolated after NCDC came around to carry the patient. So u see, e get reason why I opted for self medication. By the way, it wasn't self medication per se because the pahramacy had a registered pharmacist on ground whom I explained how I was feeling to before I bought those drugs. As far as I'm concerned ó, this is not the time to go in and out hospitals if it's not a serious case. Corona o ni embrace wa o 7 Likes |

BlueRayDick: I understand. I am also avoiding hospitals for the same reason. However, a pharmacist is not a doctor. The whole a pharmacist diagnosed my ailment is a Nigerian type abuse of the system. A pharmacist is not qualified to recommend drugs. Pharmacists are supposed to MAKE drugs. What if you had thypoid and the pharmacist told you to take anti malarials? With regards to the antibiotics, there is a culture in Nigeria Of over reliance on antibiotics and not finishing the recommended dosages . Almost every ailment, they will tell you take antibiotics. A lot of the time, I just don’t bother anymore. The next big pandemic may be a strain of antibiotic resistant bacteria. And that is also already happening. Just sayin’ 3 Likes |

fairytale:I only know how to bake those strong European Bread. My two method. 1.... After grating my coconut meat, I place it on a tray, sprinkle oil on it and bake using oven for few minutes before adding it to my dough. 2.... Heat up your pan, add little coconut oil and fry your coconut meat for some minutes before using. I don't think your Bread gonna be soft without yeast... except you're using self rising flour and baking powder. NOTE: * I only use this method when baking my strong bread...Might be a different method from the ones's here in Africa. @Akposy What do you think about the yeast? 2 Likes 2 Shares |
