I wish it was the period I made the move from Lagos to Calabar. We might have gone together. I drove privately and stumbled upon over 40 checkpoints from ijebu ode to agbor. It wasn't an easy journey as I had to stop over for a day at onitsha.

40 what?? shocked

Well.....Thank God for journey mercies though!

Re: Lockdown: Inter-state Travelling. Share Your Experience. by Lush100(m): 4:01pm On Apr 13, 2020
It depends on the work you do.
I show the officers my office ID card.
They let me through.
(U might be asked the reason for being out/ most didn't ask me)
I have traveled twice during the lockdown(4 trips= thru &fro).
I must commend the police officers, FRSC and all.
They were very friendly and civil.
Very humane too.

If you don't have an official reason to travel, your best bet is to load your vehicle with lots of foodstuffs that is very visible.
They would allow you.

If u are driving alone , it's better.

Finally I did travel as I said earlier. Am in Abuja now. However I must say that, it was stressful in the sense that, at every check point you are made to part with something by NPF manning the post. In the end was it worth it? Yes! Am home now with my family and that's what matters.
Better if you don't go with COVID 19 virus!

Travel from Lagos to Ibadan last week. Take off point is ojodu Berger, saw about 3 three check point,

one at Berger outward lagos, another at Opic before long bridge.

When you get to interchange, there is another checking point, finally immediately after ogere close to Ibadan is another check point.

So my brother, if you aren't a uniform personnel, just hold enough cash to buy your pass ticket.

I want to buy a car in Lagos, I need to inspect it as soon as possible cuz seller needs money urgently. He's actually selling cuz he has serious family issue. I'm scared to travel cuz Ondo to Lagos road is always notorious even before lockdown. Now the police at the check point will just rip me off.

Why not pay someone in Lagos to help you inspect,. Take videos then you can make a decision.

Also be wary of people selling cars and puttingnyou under pressure that they have urgent need for the money. 90% of the times they are selling lemons.

So it's been a bad two weeks, what started as a 'somehow i'll manage' has quickly turned into a very dire situation. Paying part rent and settling bills shortly before the lockdown did have me getting into isolation with very little left on me. I haven't had any food to eat more than 24hrs now. I've exhausted whatever change left on me, even accrued debts with the neighbourhood foodstuff seller. Please i'll appreciate any hand out, anything will do, i'll be very grateful for the assistance. Thanks as you help a brother 2062119560 UBA

Anyone in a hurry to sell a car is most likely a scammer.

The hurry is a tactics to deprive you of time for logical thinking.
