I have an issue to discuss here
sometimes around February I got a slot from one of our politician in my local government which he offered for 450k he has done it for people and it's legit but due to funds I was unable to secured
I tried asking him which of the agencies or ministries
he state FAAN,FIRS and ministry of transportation that there vacancies in those places
but my issue now is my mum called him recently and he said the slot is still on we even had to go see him personally
he explained so many things that things are going underground and they are just waiting for these pandemic to be over then they finalize the list and am to wait to 60-90days before APL comes out .down payment 250k first then after APL you balance

Based on the civil service rules it take 3years to move from one level to the other but in some instance where there are many people in the level to be promoted to or there is no promotion exam in that year they will just increase your steps like two or three steps up it depends on the ministry discretion.

As regards the allowance, it depend on the department in that ministry you fall into.

I think the civil service rule says promotion from one level to the other is dependent on ur cadre.

Non officer staffs i.e level 1 - 7(Junior cadre): 2 years.
Officers i.e level 7 -13 : 3 years
Management staffs i.e level 13 - 17: 4 years

The appointment letter is real based on the content and logo but you know Nigeria of now adays it can also be forged and the figure on your appointment letter is for old minimum wage. Level 9 step 2 after the minimum wage is now N960, 604

Note: it is unethical to post your appointment letter online I suggest you remove it for security purpose

Is this the Gross Pay or Net Pay Sir? Also, is this the pay for all Level 9 Step 2 Officers in various Federal Ministries i.e is it a uniform pay across all the Ministries or allowances isn't inclusive?

Once you are working in a Core Ministry that's your gross pay for level 9 Step 2 but in some instance some department in some Ministry add to the salary ranging from 5k - 10k

If i get wat u are trying to say correctly, u mean a person only gets a step increment wen that person is due for promotion and the promotion exams is not conducted that year. Is that wat u mean?

Before an explanation are you a civil servant? If yes you can confirm in you ministry and if No wait till when you get the job to understand how is being done.

You should stop misleading people and learn how to say "I dont know" or better keep mute.

It's really obvious you have no clue how civil service operates. What Maiturare1 said it's what's in the Public Service Regulations. Then were did you get level 9 step 13 from? It's just easy if you say i don't know

I know for a fact that civil servants are elevated a step further every year until they due for promotion. And once they are promoted to the next level, they start from step two again. Sir, I don't pray you experience that and based on the template upload which was prepared by National Salary, Income and Wages Commission and is meant for Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure ( CONPSS). In Civil Service Commission we have Level 1 -17 and also Step 1 - 15 which means someone can even be on Level 9 Step 15 when individual promotion being delayed and there are many factors that warrant it. If your promotion move normally level 9 - level 10 should be 3years but it doesn't work like that most times and that's when you see some being promoted in a department while some will not be promoted because not everybody will pass the promotional exam and for someone that fails exam will only be upgraded on steps while some due to educational factors there promotion will slow. We have many factors that hinder promotion to be delayed

You as a civil servant should give us the answer to this questions or should wait till after i get employed into the FCSC.

Dude your number 1 and 3 questions show you know nothing about civil service and you just copy and paste so let's leave it like that. A step is added every year automatically. You don't need to be due for promotion to be given a step. You are really funny sha, e say na promotion by step. Step 13 means you have spend 10+ years on a particular level and that almost never happens unless your village people are after you.

Bros, dont be misled. The federal civil service no dey frustrate anybody oo.
When somebody is due for promotion and is not promoted. That is because the person either does nt meet the promotion criteria or does nt pass the promotional exams.
You are correct, every civil servant is elevated a step further every year until due for promotion.
But promotion comes with one(1) level ahead, two (2) steps backward. Example, lvl 9 step 13 when promoted will become level 10 step 11.
