Dan18:Lol. I'm no acclaimed soldier like u purport to be so I have no business in the battle front rather u should be. I wonder who drafted this little boy in the NA if actually he is one because from ur picture u dnt look 18. Imagine sitting in a car with this small boy and him giving me assurance to be crossing state borders at this critical time?

You guys wants to start another round of unnecessary and very silly arguments, right? Hope you realise this someone's business platform and am so sure you wouldn't like someone else to do the same to your business. So please let it go. thanks 5 Likes |

Mayor555: It's a simple thing my brother; why do you have to give Police money when you have your papers Even custom officers just want to be sure the car was'nt smuggled. So why the fear when you paid all duties. 1 Like |

9icetoo: Bros it's your approach that matters; show police you are ignorant then you will be unnecessarily cheated. You can still drive your new car for a certain period before the registration process is concluded and I don't think it's less than a month. 2 Likes |

Mayor555: I agree with you my brother. You don't have to give Police money. Once Police discover you know your rights, same police threatening you will immediately switch to begging you for money. 1 Like |

Mayor555: Bro, each time i go to the East (with unregistered cars) i spend well over 20k on police/customs settlement. Don't know your routes, but once you turn right at Sagamu bypass to face Benin express the nightmare starts, police checkpoints almost every 2km stretch. Now, we're all different, I can't leave my house 4am and want to still be on the road by 6pm, all cos i let police delay me over #200 settlements. If you don't want to pay, of course you won't pay, its all about scale of preference, which do you value more, your money or your time. Calculate multiple #200 payments and FSARS will tell you they won't collect anything below #500, refuse and you'll be delayed. Imagine when 20 checkpoints take 30 mins each away from your journey, won't be funny 8 Likes |

Re: N1,200,000 or Less Tokunbo Cars by foolbuster: 5:26pm On Apr 14, 2020 |
hypernikao: You don't have to be afraid of the police, as long as you have all documents. If you don't want to give them money the worst they can do is delay you and that is if you maintain a pleasant personality. For customs once they see that your importation papers are in order they don't give much wahala. |

On this thread: People who have a flawed scale of priorities. My time is important to me. E go shock you how when dem stop you friendly ask for settlement, you no go gree, then dem go say make you park, then carry out a thorough car search + document inspection. Then multiply that by the 50 checkpoints on the road, and I bet you'll start settling before you get to Ore. 7 Likes |

Mayor555: You are wrong on police crosscheck papers and assuming he gave car to someone to bring down to PH. Nothing concern then if papers info differs to driver license info, in as much the car wasn't reported to them stolen. I have delivered cars out of lagos on many occasions and police has never asked for papers for them to cross check, though on some cases they ask of drivers license which I always show them and they search if I have any exhibit. Which one is so far car is fine them go stop you. Are u saying they will always stop all fine cars or latest cars that they believe people fit cut corners of underpaying the duty? |

Philadelphia: You will derail with impunity when it suits your purpose, when someone else does, you cry wolf. If the cars are bought won't they be transferred? The OP sometimes ships cars with replacement parts and even services the engines atimes, you think he doesn't know that he's supposed to sell cars "as is" alone? As always if you're ready to go down the name calling route, mention my moniker on a dead thread, let's have fun. 13 Likes |

emiaby: He was driving. Had his ID card with him and claimed to be on essential duty. That didn't help much so he still had to grease the palm of police officers at checkpoints. The most challenging according to him was Benin Warri boundary. Once he passed, it was a smooth ride |

replete:Ignorance? Somehow, somewhere, it has been suggested that sometimes, money is parted with. Papers being complete? In an unregistered Tokunbo car? You think those policemen are there to look at papers? If they sense you are a newbie, they park you. If they haven't made enough money for the day or one degenerate and overzealous newbie is in their team, they will park you. People pay not because they don't have the papers but because they do not want their time wasted. You think a courier wants to spend two days delivering a car to ph or Abuja? As per customs, if you like pay your duty in full, if you like underpay, those boys for Benin go collect something unless you are a known regular or know people and have better connect on your phone. Else, you must drop. They see it as their entitlement. Read my posts, I travel regularly. Very regularly. 5 Likes |
