Hello, I only did it one time, over 5 month now. But android explained has a good tutorial on that. Update your usb driver for your system to recognize the phone. Check his YouTube library and website.
First thing get to unlock bootloader first after the waiting period is over. that is why it is good to apply first before you are ready to unlock.

That is 7 days wait. Don't stress yourself, it easy if you can follow step by step video tutorial

Dirty flashing works but the mistake i did was not installing magisk thereafter, custom recovery was changed to stock recovery too. So I will need to install again to gain root access.

Modified: twrp custom flashed and root done

Just a heads up, for some reasons most developers are encouraging people to use 'OrangeFox' recovery. I think you'll be better off with that.

I can't say what d real reason is, but I feel the developers feel more comfortable with OrangeFox for now.

Lol. Those bloody kangers.

There's no special reason why, its just that ofox supports OTA update.

Pitch black supports it too so there's nothing special about ofox.

Most of the trees used by ofox were kanged (stolen) from redwolf recovery.

Those that ain't concerned about OTA update via ofox need not worry about it.

I can use it sha because most R7 ROMs are FBE build. And the ofox available for R7 supports only FBE ROMs.

Make sure the name of zip file matches. Just rename to recovery.img


.img shouldn't appear again if it's already in that format

I feel something is wrong with the way I extract my files. I have watched tons of video yet I even get unknown partition error

Note 7 is really frustrating. A whole day surfing the net but I won't give up. I feel there is something I am not doing right especially with the zip file. Please if anyone have lavender twrp, ADB setup Kindy upload. Maybe the ones I have is the problem
