What a savage response you've got there.....but nevermind, what matter most here is how your portfolio will keep putting smiles on your face.
Since you've drawn up some do and don'ts rules, try and work on it, then develop your own unique strategy on how to maximize your gains as a jijoist. Work on your emotions, it's very important too.
Once you try it and it's not coming forth as expected, just find another way to understand what works best for you.
My layman's contribution. smiley

Locodemy's reply was quite savage, especially coming from someone who has taken advantage of the 'grammars' that others have painstakingly written for all to benefit. I prefer to read his reply literarily, that is, that he doesn't know how to write, not that he wants to be a chop alone. Meanwhile, thanks Mcy for your advice and for your altruistic role on this thread.

Good you don't worry yourself about his reply. I believed he doesn't mean it the bad way. Loco is not a chop alone like you said. How many can he chop alone self. grin
The most important thing is that you were able to figure out some info to guide you in your jijo trading......na the message be the Koko. Wish you all the best. smiley

Madam Mercy, u don make me laff comot shirt grin grin grin. Oga Emmasoft did not mean Nigerian Breweries, I believe he meant - N.B. An abbreviation for the Latin phrase nota bene, meaning “note well.”

I don't know what is wrong with Fidson .

Leverage (working for the banks), disappointing FY19 result (after a rights issue in 1st quarter), declining revenue YoY, Family grip, e.t.c.
Perhaps investors want to watch their Q1 2020 performance from the sidelines before jumping in.

My opinion though.

It has been mentioned here before that buying & selling commissions with brokers can be negotiated downwards. Is anyone here aware of how much minimum one may need to have in their trading account to enjoy such benefit please?

In February, some people bought GTB at 28.0 and were celebrating, and someone bought at 20+ you are asking why.. GTB is in a class of its own. At the present price, its a bargain

In few months from now you probably will be bidding for GTB at 29+ and no offers.. life.... life... grin grin grin

I am in GTB bro. Bought at N32.

Lol. grin
There's mixed reactions in the market.......the direction wasn't very clear but bear doesn't have a hold on the market so far.........
Investors are somehow cautious, maybe because of the lockdown extension but are coming out little by little to buy.

Lockdown has nothing to do with the fall going forward. Everything has been priced in.

If you see any fall, it is profit taking. PT will hardly dent this market. So I advice people (who can hold) to hold tight if you bought low between 16th to 24th of March 2020.

The market will shake out weak hands and still move to the level it wants to get to.

You sure will. Rule of thumb you should consider complying with as well is not to rush to deploy realized profit into another trade. When the sweet money hit your account, take a deep breath before your next buy action. You will avoid more losing propositions this way.

Most newbies did that to be sure that the gains were real grin grin

Mistake she made was to sell off winners. Going into GTB ain't bad as well.

Ask your broker what amount you need to have to be a HNI. There is a minimum to be classed as a HNI. Some may say N20m minimum to be traded with. Others up to N50m minimum.
