How can a stock need at least a single trade of 9inety something million naira to change to a new closing price?

No ...

If they had not done that, Nestle should be trading at N300 by now.

With 10,000 units (less than N10m) , one can easily use it to play yoyo with the index.

Pastor V, you're looking at this from a one-sided point of view. I believe the same volume is also required to bring the price downward. Hence, its defensive nature.

Fcmb to open market tomorrow at 1.58.
14kobo will be deducted from today's closing price(1.72).

Some deep pocket guys may like to drag it down to 1.50 tomorrow and later move it back to 1.58 or above.

But I keep my eyes on fidelity to know fcmb situation tomorrow.

On the contrary, it will easily smash this point.

Those who bought at 4,000 level are the winners. I see the short term (1 year) outlook to hit 20K and above. Then it falls back to 5,800 after the ATH.

The liquidity is there.

After 7638 wait for a bearish daily candle then sell.

Bitcoin will shed up to half of its value from that point.

I could be wrong anyway.

Time will tell the whole story.

I understand, but then it came down all the way from 1500 to 750.

Well, who knows how low it would have gone ...

Do they charge an additional for this? I think meritrade allows this without an additional charges. Investment one guy should help clarify

I expect it to close back at 1.73 after markdown.

The stage we are right now is that you will be forcing price down, it goes nowhere. It will be as if they wedged it onto something.

Fidelity looks like something that will do 10% tomorrow. At this point, you can't depress prices like before.

They all seem to be chasing January 2020 high first.

I'm thinking it needs to start breaking out sharply. Accelerate past 7,200. Once 7,200 is passed, 10K will be the next target.

Lockdown has nothing to do with the fall going forward. Everything has been priced in.

If you see any fall, it is profit taking. PT will hardly dent this market. So I advice people (who can hold) to hold tight if you bought low between 16th to 24th of March 2020.

The market will shake out weak hands and still move to the level it wants to get to.

Pastor, this is just the disadvantage.....it has its advantage too. By the time it goes up and they're selling at day's low but the price remain unchanged, you'll appreciate the rule. smiley
Do you think Nestle wouldn't have fallen far below where it reversed if not for the 100k rule?

Our tutor, are you saying if one buys 100k unit of any stock(irrespective of the price), the price moves up? Is this 100k a cummulative of what all customers buy in a day or from a single buyer. Please engligten us ooo.

I want to believe that Brent will slide towards 28. I don't think the low of 20 will be seen again. So this is still OK before the next run up in price that will start for Brent.

i agree, in addition, d 28 in my opinion wld also be shortlived (my take is that it wld only be use as an excuse for upcoming shakeout)

as i said earlier my call in the near/short term is 30 - 40 range (30 - 60 / 90 days)

It has been mentioned here before that buying & selling commissions with brokers can be negotiated downwards. Is anyone here aware of how much minimum one may need to have in their trading account to enjoy such benefit please?

True

Call your brokers and discuss with them , I don’t think there is a minimum amount cast in stone

Am sure it depends on negotiation , I got further discount from Morgan

Salary is more peaceful. If you're a salary earner, appreciate it. Just try to make good use of your earnings.
My biz with consistent turnover gives me peace of mind. It's relatively predictable. And returns over time, is d best.
I hate receiving rents, dividends better pass rents by far. No stories. If you build house to rent out in most locations outside Lagos and Abuja, in my opinion, sell the Bleep/ing item & move on.

Yes. The stock price moves up or down with the block purchase price.
The 100k minimum block unit must be done at a time by a single buyer, can be more than that but not less.
