Carbuyer83:Don't be misled. Matrix has a lot of components that differentiates it from the Vibe. |
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by nurey(m): 9:43am On Apr 15, 2020 |
HeavenlyBang: In my eyes the S-class of that year fits personal driving than the avalon especially the facelift avalon which looks so big |

Good evening all, kindly help me to fine tune my decision on this 2 cars, though same brand. 2003 Mercedes c320 and a 2005 Mercedes e320. I am a bachelor. I just want a good car without electrical issues. Which of the 2 cars is more reliable and cheap to maintain in terms of parts. |

Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by Eddee(m): 8:46am On Apr 18, 2020 |
dicksonadams: A lot of things except many exterior body parts are interchangeable, side view mirrors are interchangeable. A colleague at my former place of work had one, coming from a wrecked Toyota Matrix, he had his own personal junkyard. I know for sure that door handles are the same on his Matrix and Vibe. As for HVAC, we learnt this the hard way when we thought we could just remove, insert and inshallah! Denso Compressors are plug and play on the 1ZZFE, but that's all where the good news ends. If you try to run a Toyota compressor on the vibe, you must export things like the expansion valve, AC lines, blower motor harness or something, evaporator, resistor, I think the Matrix's condenser might work but we didn't get that far during the surgery last year. And oh, you need a competent mecho or the vibrations will end your tinkering career. |

Eddee: Boss are you saying vibe need a specialist mechanic and not regular Toyota mech? |

Guys what is your recommendation for Toyota Highlander 2002? |
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by Eddee(m): 12:09pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
dicksonadams: No chief. I mean if you want to use Matrix HVAC components on the Vibe you need a professional who will carry out the surgical f.vcke.ry. 1 Like |
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by dicksonadams(m): 12:51pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
Eddee: Hmmmm... But what if i dont want mess things up by using Toyota HVAC component... Can one find Pontiac HVAC components? Will they be bery expensive? |
Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by Eddee(m): 1:23pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
dicksonadams: They’re readily available. A brand new Delphi compressor (Vibe) is cheaper than a Denso compressor (Matrix) - I know this because I've bought one. My initial comments were based on the fact that my colleague exported Matrix AC components to his Vibe. He had an accident with his Matrix, and bought a naija used Vibe that just 'needed gas' - we ended up learning a lot after we topped gas . I won't advise anyone goes this route, we only took this path because we had the matrix parts already. |

Eddee: Boss thanks so much for educating me.. Please one last favour, my vibe need driver side airbag sensor, please can I get this part from your friend... I beg thee |
