Here are pictures of the snake that came into my compound in Benin this morning. I have a fish farm and keep alsatian dogs. The compound is fenced but surrounded by undeveloped plots of land. It kept inflating it's hood and making menacing gestures but got trapped under the gate while trying to find it's way out.

No, not me. I would have loved to capture it and release it unharmed in the wild but that's risky for an untrained person. I don't eat snakes.

Yeah, rat snake eat rats while King Cobra favorite is the rat snake.
