The FUGAZ have moved together, leaving Union, Sterling and Jaiz to struggle. My FBNH hopes has been laid on hold since funding takes about 2 hours for my broker.
Mcy56:

That does what actually?
Think what he implied there was this: that there's no need selling Zenith to buy GTB because if GTB moves, Zenith will also move........and vice versa.
UBA and Access....... move together most of the time too......
When the 4 move, Fbnh will also move......

* Another set is fidelity and fcmb....

So if you see a big gap btw the pairs, just know they will find a way to close the gap, either up or down.

** My bosses may have different view anyway and......it's not a rule.

Sterling has tried.....from N1 to N1.52
Union Bank: reached 7.25 or thereabout before coming back to 6+. Always on its own from time. Also, people are still waiting for the acquisition news by Zee and the conversion ratio first.
JAIZBANK: refused to move .......the management are planning dividend for the 2019 FYE. If this materialize, it will move it small.

My question is, are we past the worse economic pandemic? I do not think so, I expect there to still be a terrible recession as soon as the distraction of Coronavirus wears off whether or not there is a cure. So will this upward trend of the market continue in the same upward surge it is going or will this rally only last for a while? It is just confusing to me.

I think, for now, since all biz day down folks are taking advantage of stock trading.

However, what I can't tell is the future

I am trying to separate my wistful thinking from a logical analysis but I suspect the market will experience another dip as soon as the market realizes that a lot of people will probably not have jobs to return to, reduction in salary for some and many other things that the present lockdown is hiding. I suspect then people will once again act in panic which will probably cause another uncontrolled ripple in the market.

You're right, sir. Your fears are in line with the nearest future reality, and the points you raised are valid. This is the reason we must stick to fundamentally sound stocks and restrain from doing otherwise so that if the wave changes and prices begin to tank again, one is sure that one will return to profit when the economy stabilises. Buying any stock simply because it is also doing upward movements during this bull run might turn out as a big investment mistake in the long run. Even if you must trade stock, aka JIJO, do it in sound stocks!

Mr Market has a voice of its own. Upward and downward movements are consistent characters of Mr Market. Since you can't control Mr Market, you have to manage your own emotions. With the reds, the naysayers said the world was coming to an end. DangCem will sell for 100naira, Zenith @8, GT @9, Nestle @400. We haven't seen the manifestations of that yet. The GREENS are alive and kicking, however, as much as some of us were in control of our FEARS, we should NOW be in control of our GREED. This will be worse than controlling fear.

An Organisation that did a large project in Mobil Eket with no change in their stock... Their history isn't even good..I've been watching them for a while...

Watch out for Guinness. The alcoholic beverage industry has shifted to spirits and related drinks. A field where Guinness is presently dominated. At the current price, I see a lot of promise.
