Market can be really funny. Same people who bought Zenith at 15.90 don't want to buy it at 14.35.

Well, I could have waited for someone for your post and review b/4 buying DS today?

DS on longterm radar and short term is very good.

1. Backward integration with savanah Sugar
2. Yet to declare dividend. ( Consistent payer)
3. Price is relatively cheap with a stock that use to do up to N21- 24.
4. For the merger I expect bigger valuation with no dillution because Savanah Sugar shares were cancelled.

I wish I have more money, I would long. Please DD advised.

Aigbovbioise Aig-Imoukhuede still bought WAPIC shares even when their close period for 2019 is still in force since they have not released there 2019 Audited financial result.
http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/29683_WAPIC_INSURANCE_PLC_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_APRIL_2020.pdf

"Company had declared a closed period in respect of transactions on its securities
with effect from January 16, 2020 until release of the Company’s 2019 Audited Financial
Statements to the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
This closed period remains in force and consequently, no Director, employee, person
discharging managerial responsibility, adviser of Wapic Insurance Plc and their
connected person may directly or indirectly, deal in the securities of the Company in any
manner during the Closed Period and all insiders have been notified accordingly".

http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/29681_WAPIC_INSURANCE_PLC_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_APRIL_2020.pdf

Isn't this violation of the closed period rule?

DrAwo:

There is no law that prevents directors or members of the board from buying or selling shares of their company. They only need to inform the Sec and NSE when they do which is what happened in the releases that were publicised.

The law however prevents them from buying or selling shares in their company during sensitive periods e.g. When they are considering quarterly or audited reports. This is why there is a closed period around these events where those with privileged information can't buy or sell shares....

Hope this helps...

...because they understand the season we're in. Plenty of opportunities lie ahead. Besides, how are we sure they bought at 15.90? So many investors here on NSEMPA bought at N10.70. It's also possible they already bought today and activated the wait mode for another -10% tomorrow cool wink tongue

Means you've not been following the discussions here as such.
When NB fell to around 24 or so, oga Oracle mentioned that it should get to around 22+ or thereabout, and that it will be good for pick at that junction......not the exact word.
Pa Emma also said something positive about it.
I equally echoed it and also mentioned it to someone. Can't search for the post now.
Some good info do come in thru jokes and normal postings, make Una dey read all but sift it. smiley

I'm yet to understand something.
Since NB has been 22 I keep placing trades but it never gets filled.
I placed at 24.4, no way. @26.8, no way.
Those are the opening prices. Until today, I placed @29.45, then it got filled. Maybe it will close there.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by debeey87(m): 2:27pm On Apr 16, 2020
Your order must have a matching seller at your price before it can be executed. Perhaps you placed your order when it was already in full bid and yours isn't the topmost on the buy list
