It’s only a matter of time. Nigeria escaped this pandemic and we were TOTALLY unprepared for it.
LET US NOT BE UNPREPARED FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!

Welcome news. But as we know, viruses can be very tricky.

This along with vaccination could help keep it under control in the future.

This is a link to a more comprehensive data on the outcomes.

68% of the patients recovered. Some of the patients died. Some quit the drug after a few days because of the severe side effects.

But in all, it is promising.

Also, there are trials underway in China for two vaccine drugs.

Developing a vaccine for this virus is now a tricky affair. This is because even if a vaccine is found today, many will not agree to take it, yours truly included, due to trust issues.

They better find a drug with a high probability of reducing fatal outcomes. It'd be more acceptable than a vaccine.

Kudos to the health professionals and scientists.

Things are looking hopeful but It will take months to be able to study the samples and observe any side effects and how it combines with other factors and medications.

This is a time to properly fund research in healthcare and education in Nigeria and around the world. Ours in Nigeria shouldn’t be only to be looting money and waiting for others to do the research so we can quickly consume, while our institutions languish from neglect
And what if i tell you every administration past and present always put a lot of money into that department but our so called researchers do collects money on pretence of doing research but rather use the monies on vacations abroad?

Do not absolutely trust whatever the so called Western and even our own media releases to the public.

Except African doctors witness these dugs tested on patients and monitor their recovery alongside Western doctors, African governments BEWARE!!!

The watchword there is properly fund. If you give them money without deliverables and proper oversight then the money goes down the drain. Most of our leaders and corrupt plus nepotism, that’s why many projects don’t work

With all this goodnews coming from America the political leadership should start thinking of relaxing the lockdown in states in Nigeria.

Let the three tiers of government ( federal, state, local government) including private bodies such as Ngo continue to sensitive the public on ways to protect themselves using social distancing, hand sanitizers, face/nose masks etc

Nigerians are human, palliative or No palliative. There is extent to which Nigerians can endure the lockdown.

There is nothing like freedom to move to where you want to go to.

Many Nigerians can not run their business or go to their white collar jobs or go to farm.

Even the federal government palliative, Humanitarian Minister Farooq is using it to give to her own northerners kinsmen.
There is no evidence of evenly spread or distribution of the palliative.

Some states were cut out of the provisions of the palliatives.

It was primary targeted to the northern states.

What yardstick or criteria did they use in identifying the poorest Nigerians?

They grossly ignored federal character in the dispensing of the palliative.

Is that not another type of corruption?
