Breaking News! A very powerful inspirational and motivating message from the Chief of Army to the troops: SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR OFFICERS AND MEN OF OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE FROM THE CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF LT GEN TY BURATAI (NAM Phd) ON THE FINAL CLEARANCE OF BOKO HARAM AND ISWAP TERRORISTS 1. Gentlemen officers and men of the Nigerian Army! Gallant officers and men of Operation LAFIYA DOLE! We are right here right now to carry out our solemn and righteous constitutional duties. We are here to flush out these criminals who have been terrorizing and killing innocent and law abiding Nigerians! 2. Officers and men of the Nigerian Army owe it a duty to save our country from the menace of terrorists, bandits and all forms of criminalities. We owe it a duty to the Nigerian people and to our President and Commander in Chief, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, for the confidence he has reposed in us to achieve the mandate the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has given us. We owe it a duty to serve our fatherland and protect our fellow country men and women! 3. Ours is a professional calling, a call to serve our dear country; a call to defend the territorial integrity of our fatherland, which we must all be proud of. We must also be proud of our calling as professional soldiers and patriots. Therefore, we must go all out to stop and eliminate these criminals. We must do it now. There is no better time than now! 4. In this our honorable mission and endeavor, there is no room for the chicken-hearted. The Nigerian Army of today is for the committed, disciplined, patriotic and selfless officers and soldiers which I believe you all are. There is no room for cowardice and no room for the lily-livered ones. From now on it is FORWARD EVER BACKWARD NEVER! The sacrifices of our fallen heroes must never be in vain! Nigerian Army officers and soldiers have no cause to despair as ours is a noble and patriotic cause. It is a cause we must all be proud of. 5. Gentlemen gallant commanders all levels, you must hold firmly to your officers and men. You must instill confidence through your words and actions. In order to win the trust and confidence of their subordinates, commanders must never show fear or fatigue. If they do that, they will lose all moral authority to lead and command their men. You cannot and must not take men and equipment in to battle without situating it, without putting yourself through the whole course and playing out all the likely scenarios you may encounter and diligently working out all possible options. We must be committed and fastidious. We must consider and workout the minutest details, factors and all possible outcomes in all our operations. 6. Let me reiterate and restate here that I have confidence in all my officers. I have confidence in all my commanders and I have confidence in you gallant soldiers of the Nigerian Army! Finally, I must remind you all that as leaders our focus must always be for the Nigerian Army. We must think out of the box and beyond the box. I charge you all to move out and bring this war to a positive end! Victory is from God Alone! God bless our gallant troops participating in our various operations, God bless the Nigerian Army and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria! TY BURATAI Lieutenant General Chief of Army Staff Ngamdu, Borno State. 15 Apr 20 2 Likes |

Shekau, Boko Haram Commanders reaching out to mediators for a ceasefire There seems to be a crisis in the Boko Haram camp as credible sources have confirmed that the leader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau, has been making frantic efforts to seek a soft landing as he prepares to surrender. This much was gathered from top intelligence sources in the Theatre of Operations in North-East Nigeria. According to a source who pleaded anonymity, he stated that Abubakar Shekau is desperately looking for an avenue to surrender. “ I think the end of Boko Haram is coming close as Abubakar Shekau has been making overtures through proxies for a soft landing for him to surrender to the Nigerian authorities. He has been desperate about it, and the intensity is occasioned with the avalanche of coordinated operations launched in recent times against the group, especially in the Timbuktu triangle” Read more: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/04/shekau-boko-haram-commanders-reaching-out-to-mediators-for-a-ceasefire/ |

bidexiii: His number 2 man has left him to his faith. Shekau's worry isn't even with the military but with the news filtering in that ISWAP has linked up with his deputy. His deputy has really been the one defending Borno Central axis (Bama,Dikwa,Banki,Gamboru-Ngala and Kala Balge) from falling into the hands of ISWAP. if his deputy truly forms and alliance with ISWAP definitely ISWAP will take full control of Borno Central zone and definitely deal with Shekau in his rumored refuge home around Banki-Dikwa-Logomani axis. This might definitely lead to Shekau moving to Southern Borno, but his only safe heaven will be Damboa axis as other Southern Borno towns (Biu,Shani,Chibok,Hawul,Askira etc) will definitely not provide the perfect cover for him and protection needed as most villages there got a high Intel and defense run by local vigilantes and CJTF. Southern Borno mostly are Christians and not Kanuri's. If Shekau moves into some part of Southern Borno e no go tey CJTF/Hunters Vs Miltary go use him head play football match From an Unknown source 15 Likes 1 Share |

AskiaHarem:Fake news that made Boko haram and Iswap ran from Chad into Nigeria It seems some of you guys are paid to come and paste useless propaganda on this thread That's how one is telling Samuel(not sure) about how boko haram can't dare attack the COAS cause of the security details around him they didn't just ambush the Dubai landlord on the road, they took the battle to the landlord at his base The Dubai landlord said they chase and killed some of those terrorists that attacked his base, where are the pic of this dead terrorist, you can show us pictures of jollof rice in your camp but you can't show us pic of dead terrorists that attacked your camp The COAS is not even in some of the very dangerous part of borno o And what's all this stupid talk about someone smoking a weed, how is it your concern if a person choose to smoke weed or not focus on military issues, if not for our dumb leaders, marijuana should have been legalized in this country. African countries like South Africa are cashing in on it, a country like Ghana is about to start cashing in on it, it was finally legalized in Ghana last week or last two week. A friend of mime that has been fighting boko haram for more than 4 years, has finally been redeployed back to his base here in the south. 17 Likes 1 Share |

If a camp where the COAS is staying can be attacked easily, I now fully understand why Generals can be ambushed by terrorists. Well, am glad the Dubai landlord is in borno state, even though buhari once gave him an order after a meeting in december 2018, for him to relocate to borno state, an order which he refused to follow. Thank God for the Chadian president who led by example, the body language of the Chadian president eventually made buratai relocate to borno state in 2020. The Chadian president once said the Nigerian military was absent in this fight against boko haram back in 2015, I hope buratai will finally prove him wrong in 2020. 11 Likes 1 Share |

SamuelAnyawu: You just displayed how ignorant you are. Who told you Shekau his in North east territory. Dude am currently in Borno and once you hang out with soldiers and they give you gist does not mean you know shit about the war going on. No commission officer in the N.E will open is mouth and tell you Shekau is in the Nigerian territory and I know is a clever snitch, he wouldn’t be so dumb. And thanks for always making up your fake stories and rumors, claiming it’s from an unknown source. 3 Likes |

GabrielYulaw: Supposed to be used as an anti aircraft system but it's used for ground targets. Not sure how accurate it is on rudimentary vehicles beyond 500 metres. But it's more about quantity than quality. And it creates a lot of terror and damage too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hIhANtU-rs 1 Share

bidexiii: Why are you getting so angry, heated and into unnecessary contention. You are the most prolific contributors on this thread and your opinion highly regarded. But getting into a slanging match and exchanging insults. Then to discredit someone doesn't give you credit. Does not in anyway increase your standing rather it reduces it. Please be civil and keep being a gentleman. People have a choice to believe or disbelieve, if you have a contrary opinion. Set it out with methodology, structure and possibly substantively. People can make up thier own minds. 15 Likes 1 Share |

bidexiii: Your words convey a sense of personal offence in the first instance. Have l offended you Then you descend to insult and that's not good. Disagree with me, it's your prerogative and it's helpful if you expand on why. I am not too proud to accept if I'm wrong. But do it with substance and rationality. But this smacks of the kind of rascality we see in the political section. A thread you have contributed so much to build up. Please do not inadvertently bring it down. 12 Likes 1 Share |

No indirect fire possible from a pinned down position,no drones, no mortar. I don't understand. we seem to be so horizontal on our dependence on RPG for shock effect. 10 Likes |
