The main job of anyone in God's kingdom is to preach the gospel which means telling others to embrace Jesus and let go of sin.

Secondly pastors lead the church which is the gathering of the people of God to worship God and edify themselves about how to be their best version.

And also for tithes and donations

This is not a place to project the work of your master the devil. You can open your own thread. And luckily, It's free.

Thank you!

The church collects tithes and offerings and it's not the property or belongings of the pastor. I will treat this issue as we progress. We all must know the truth and be liberated

I most times don't get tired of people who don't share my faith, as I was once like that before I saw the great light and I followed to Jesus. We will keep praying and helping out as much as we can through Christ our lord

If you are a pastor interested in delving into the supernatural work of ministry.

1. You must be a mobile prayer house. Prayer won't have time table here but prayer becomes a survival instinct.

2. You must be a fasting machine. Fast until you don't know when you ended the last one and when you began the current one.

3 Be bold: fear is a sin and should be your mantra. You will deal with demon face to face and fear is believing the devil. Be bold

4. Be ruggedized: a supernatural pastor mustn't flow with the gentility of a normal person.

5. be radical. The holy Spirit is a wind and wind doesn't have specific direction but is making impact everywhere. The secret to the supernatural is to be able to flow in the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Peace

I enjoyed this. God bless you and more power

Bunch of potential scammers, that's what you guys are...

I understand how you feel and I must say I have given my life to Christ since 1995 and I have seen enough to understand what you mean but..

I have some questions.
Do we have born footballers or born fighters. If yes, why I'll it be out of place to have born preachers and people after God's heart.

The fact that a car was involved in an accident would not stop us from traveling in a car, please be calm even if you once had cases that are unpleasant with pastors, not all are thesame.

If you do what you just said, then who sent you to do what?. God's work isn't business for humans
many pastors who are humans are making so much money from the same God's work .

Religion was not meant to take a country anywhere. It's misplaced priorities.

The appearance of Jesus was to save lost souls from sin to turn from their bad ways.

Obviously, we need our pastors to do more good jobs which will send ripples of good behavior into the society.

By and large, religion is self Discovery and not nation journey or thereabout

U have three answers to this.
1. As a CEO myself I know if you scale any entity or organization well, the number 1 citizen tend to live in it's afluence and wealth.

2. The bible says seek forth the kingdom of God and every other thing will I add.

3. It is not a crime for anyone to be rich including a pastor unless they aquire the money a wrong way.

To the glory of God I'm a pastor and I'm rich without a Kobo from the church added to me, I had been with money before I became a pastor but after I acknowledge and accepted the calling, I became more and more based on divine help.

So, money is good unless ill way gotten

Pastoring is a calling and NOT a job..... Christianity is selflessness and pastoring is a selfless service, showing compassion to the needy, caring for lost souls and above all practice LOVE which Christ said is the greatest commandment.....how many pastors(church owner) today exhibits these qualities?

Why will pastoring become a job

Dangote is the richest man of this time because he is into manufacturing and he is giving back to the society, by employment and services.

What is the church/Pastorpreours manufacturing that make them rich?

You collect all manner of seeds from your guelible followers and claim to be richest pastor? while the followers are getting poorer and fraudstrated.... this is wickedness

Today anybody who cannot get a job suddenly goes to open a Church and in a country like Nigeria where there is no law..... even a criminal will open a Church..... Church have now become a business in Nigeria........the more there are churches everywhere the more evil is increasing in the society.

Believe me i will have no problem if pastors came out and said Ok i will love to be a Pastor cos it's a nice job with huge benefits....
Sincerity..
BUT hiding under the guise of 'the Lord chose me' is pretentious and dishonest....
Just Admit it, most of these Pastors went into it because they saw how successful most of the pastors are and let's be honest the church is a very lucrative business in Nigeria....

Thank you very much for saying this. Most people will not make any point when they have a different view especially on nairaland. What you said is true but it's not same with everyone. I have heard a pastor say if not for the work of God he couldn't had been successful with any other, I was shocked(as if ministry is a dumping ground) but for some of us it's not so, apart from the fact that I don't have salaries and I have my personal job that pays me well over, I don't touch any donations in church as well because it belongs to the church and used for the church and her members.

One of the reasons I made this thread is to open our eyes both pastors and members to what we can do to remedy the rotten in the system and how we can fix it moving forward.

Wonderful. This I also thought off but I already have the answer to it's let me pass it along to you.

1. Pastoring is a job as well, Peter the apostles was a fisherman, Jesus called him to leave his job and become the fishers of men. And also most of the disciple's

People have passion and calling for teaching but they still have a job as a teacher either in school or adult lesson or private teaching they have to wake up to daily. The only difference is a called teacher is different from a jobbed teacher

2. Information is the richest commodity in the 21st century, much more than technology. Think Google it Amazon etc
Pastors have information as their commodity which in normal world makes anyone had loads of money, e.g coaches, business teachers, YouTubers, etc

3. The fact that anyone can open up a church has two sides (good and very very bad). Good that anything to populate the kingdom of God is good but bad that it means we have pastors who are fake and money hungry which now makes the whole thing look in genuine like we have now.

Not all pastors are broke and looking for church money. I am not a full time pastor, I work hard as everyone and my church grows with happy people because we're always there for one another.

Jesus is our leader and prototype not a big church or a big man of God. Let us all know that as well, it will help us to keep our faith.

It's okay if you think this is untrue, but I may be the greatest Pastor you will see around now. Just check my name on nairaland and see how many people I have taught what I do to make money plus I still make loads of money till the moment online. If you seek first the kingdom of God and forsake sin, you will be shocked at how soon you can become wealthy.

This looks like a normal question but in the context that you asked it with, it's the best question so far.

A church we know is we individual saints saved by the blood of the lamb.

Now when we all meet in a four wall building (which we still refer to as a church, since we *churches all gather there) anything monetry belongs to us all. This is why it is not a good thing for a pastor to spend what belongs to the church. The bible already stipulate how funds should be handled.

Jesus is coming soon to take us back to him, most of us pastors need to change our ways. The world that were clamouring wealth for will pass away.

If power filled messages are coming from the alter and backed with commitment of love and money, most members will see God as much as they feel him.

First there is no strange grammar in what you wrote. I have a 30k word book on narcissism.

I said check my name, I didn't say check this thread. I have two accounts on here with thesame name but different ID.

Mohammed Ali said he is the greatest of all time in boxing even before we knew his name plus he also had defeats but he didn't dwell on his defeats.

Whatever positivity I radiate shows I know who is backing me up and believe in the process. If you're pissed with a man exhuming positivity, then there is an error somewhere.

Meanwhile I'm sure we have to address issues not using prior premonitions because we may be judging wrongly

I'm still trying to figure out why you think this is a lie, some of you need to start rolling with real people and not the news you read online.

You have to be certain of the perspective you have so you will not pass wrong messages. What you bolded is the truth and biblical truth. Whichever pastor that does opposite is not doing the right thing.
