Good morning everyone. Please is it possible to be given GA without any form of tuition waiver? A friend of mine is so worried at what he got from Bowling green. This is what the offer shows.. Please who can explain?

Good morning all,

Please, I am trying to fill DS160 form and I got a question "who is paying for this trip"? What should be the appropriate response between self and employer in US?

I got a fully funded offer.

Your response will be highly appreciated.

Hi.
Good day friends.
I got an admit that is partly funded. That is, it is fully funded at $25k starting from the second year, hence I'm to provide proof of fund for the 1st year. Can I use a financial statement from a church? 2oyld it be considered?

Thanks

Nice!

I got an offer from TTU but it wasn't this great. Just out of state tuition waiver and $2K.

I am hoping for something better. Are you an MS or PhD candidate?
Is there a separate application for funding consideration for TTU?

Was urs a full ride? Phd?

I just got admitted & waiting for funding offer

Is there a separate application for funding?

MSc. TTU doesn't give Ms full ride, but the deficit is almost insignificant.

I did not apply separately for the funding. I don't think you need to. But you can email your dpt to ask.

Congrats on your admits and I hope funding follow soon.

Cheers

I think it's scholarship that's usually posted on that eRaider, I'm not sure tho. But I know you will get an email with your assistantship offer when one is given.

I received my funding offer about 3weeks after admit. But I know some pple who's funding offer came along with their admit. It depends on dpt.

Don't be discouraged, Coronavirus might be slowing the funding decision. I hope you receive your funding soon.

Regards.

Hello gurus in the house. I got an assistantship offer. But the letter stated that this is an initial financial offer, that it is not the main contract
.
However, the funding involve is very small, I wanted to know if i can be expecting something different when they are sending the main contract.

School is BGSU, Ms engineering technology.
Scholarship 2k
Assistantship stipend 5k

Pls those who knows about this school or hv any idea about all these should help.. thank you all
I am preparing to apply for the same program in BGSU. So I would like to get some information from you to aid me in taking the right step

Did yo apply for the department's GA separately after applying for graduate school?

Did you use WES evaluations or just uploaded unofficial transcript?

What is your CGPA and GRE scores.

We are pleased to be able to offer you a $1,000 competitive tuition scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year. This is a one-time award and will not be renewed for additional academic years. The amount of the scholarship is $1,000 for one year beginning in Fall 2020.  It will be disbursed as $500 in the fall semester and $500 in the spring semester as a scholarship, paying tuition and fees first, with any remaining balance issued to the student by Student Business Services (SBS). In addition, this award is expected to waive out-of-state tuition for the award years and does not require any service to the university, however, full-time enrollment of 9 or more hours is required.

This funding is available on a first come, first served basis.  If you wish to accept this scholarship, please complete the form at ----

Please note that if your department, the Graduate School, or another Texas Tech University entity does award you an assistantship or another scholarship prior to the start of the Fall 2020 semester, then this scholarship will be revoked so that you may receive the new funding.""

2. Will it be sent during this pandemic or after this period?

Just to motivate both prospective and current students on this journey. A good friend pursuing his MS Industrial Engineering just landed an offer with Maersk, Denmark on their Go with Maersk graduate programme starting September 1. He will graduate this summer, and you can imagine his excitement! From Naija to Yankee then Europesmiley

I'm about to begin my own journey, and his advise to me is, "Do not see the US as your final destination, rather as a gateway to limitless opportunities". He just let me know that many graduate trainee programmes especially in Europe, value US graduates. Best of luck guys.

Hello everyone, please is it advisable to pay the SEVIS fee during this Covid period?
Thanks
I wouldn't pay now. The fee is valid for one year from date of payment, would wait until there's announcement for reopening of US Embassy.

That's a Scholarship from graduate school. Most international student receives it. It would have made small sense if you were a Ms student, For a PhD, that's not what you need bro. Just ignore the email and continue praying that your department sends their offer. That's the main deal.

Have you gotten reply from your GC? What are they saying about assistantship's?
