Is it their academic achievements?

Is it their dress sense?

I threw open this question so I can understand the reasons of a friend who is seeking for a classy lady to marry despite having ladies in his circle who has all the feature questions I outlined above.

A person with class is one who is poised, graceful, mature, or exudes any of these qualities in dress, behaviour, mannerisms, language, and everyday life. They possess excellent self-control, gentle, soothing, and unoffensive.

Classy can also refer to someone who puts a high standard on the way he behaves. A classy gentleman open doors for ladies A classy gesture is something someone does that reflects this high standard of behavior. Giving up ur seat to a pregnant lady on the bus... a classy gesture.

I can tell you there is actually something called CLASSY which has more or little do with money. Though you can get all the money in this world and yet being classless.

No. 1 criteria of Classy people is INTELLIGENT/WISDOM. Another criteria is CHARISMATIC, WEALTH as well as BEING IN POSITION AUTHORITY. To some extent, BEAUTY AND HANDSOMENESS can give you class in socient.


1. INTELLIGENT/WISDOM. This group of people dont engage unnecessarily in what most stupid or classless people would rather mess themselves around with. This make many to respect and see them as role model.

2. CHARISMATIC. Some are just born this way, some learn to be one, No matter what this set of people do or say, you will always feel or admire their present. They are the product of grace.

3. BEING IN POSITION OF AUTHORITY. i dont need to say much about this, you dont expect people in position of social important to be like ordinary citizens.

4. BEAUTY AND HANDSOME; if you are intelligent and smart, this can actually elevate you the upper class in our society.

5. BEING MORALLY SOUNDED. This can also give you a good class in society.

6. WEALTH. Being very rich is a class on it own. no matter how stupid a rich man is, he can still dine and wine with elites and influential people in society.

FINALLY: In our attempt not to give a damn about wealthy people or classy someone, we become proud, bitter, jealous and eventually wants to be like them.

It might not be necessarily true. You can't buy or develop class, it's inbuilt. If you fake it, it will always raise its ugly head unexpectedly.

Unfortunately you didnt add it. People might not agree that some ppl act and appear classy. But it is the truth. There are classy people.

And the only things that make one looks classy is "packaging". But must be backed with exposure and dress sense.

Anyone that has exposure will sure have a good dress sense and won't interact anyhow. And anyone who dresses well would at least have some lil money.

You can have all the academic excellence and still appear rowdy.

You might have all the money in the bank and still dress like Mr. Aro in my street who has 17 trucks and still dresses and talks like "puruntu"

Personally I think attitude, self respect and respect for others plus financial independence makes anyone at all classy.

Classy my foot.
Society sets some crazy standards and you want to belong /identify with at all cost.
Classy is simply buying a gucci dress that doesn't fit to a mama chika's wear that fits so you can be seen as classy.
Buying that Gucci umbrella over idumota's own which may eventually spoil just in two outings.
My point.
If you have it to spend please do at your comfort.
If you don't ,use what you have at your own comfort.
Don't outdo yourself in the process.
Be happy and forget that damn society inconvenience definition of classy.
