How Did You Obtain Your Permanent Residency In Your Current Country? by Nobody: 7:45pm On Apr 15, 2020 |
There are several legal pathways for Nigerians to obtain permanent residency in Europe,Asia,Africa,South America,Australia and North America .Here are six ways to obtain legal stay: -Work permit-Permanent residency -Asylum -Graduate student-permanent residency -Marriage -Landed immigrant -Citizenship by Investment I was able to get my permanent residency through the student route in Canada. I graduated and had to obtain 1 year of work experience before I was able to file for permanent residence. Living illegally in any country can make your life a living hell and you will always be looking over your shoulders and subject to blackmail when you find jobs that pay under the table. It is important to choose a country which makes obtaining a permanent residency easy for foreigners. And not make the mistake of spending millions of naira on countries that like to do chop and clean mouth with your tuition and other money you invested in the country, only to make it near impossible to obtain legal papers to stay there permanently. The two countries that are most friendly to immigration currently are Canada and Australia, unfortunately they are out of reach financially for most people intending to migrate and have stricter requirements.. 72 Likes 7 Shares |

RuudVanNisteroy: Indeed, Nigerians are very selfish, they don't care about the negative consequences of this Akata nonsense, that's why I support the stringent visa rules on Nigerians. 54 Likes 3 Shares |

babakb:Na condition make crayfish bend. Nigeria is one of the toughest countries in the world to reside as a human. You are left to fend for yourself without government providing the basic functions such as water, healthcare, education, security and electricity. A country where security is only guaranteed to the rich businessmen and corrupt politicians that can afford armed escorts. 190 Likes 6 Shares |

imran90:Landed immigrant is your best option. If you go on a tourist visa, you will not be able to work. And will have to work on a cash basis or find an employer that will pay you under the table. It is not worth it, you will live like a slave-go through the legal route. 35 Likes 1 Share |

imran90:for most countries it is hard and you need a job offer. People like doctors nurses auditors and IT People are the ones that most times get job offer or residency stuff. For canada and Australia you dont need job offer to get residency but high points based on immigration rankings. Also you can go as student and get job later which will qualify you for residency 23 Likes 1 Share |

imran90:You get approved for permanent residence from Nigeria and when you get to the airport you get your permanent residence papers and a few years later become a citizen. They are certain requirements to become a landed immigrant in Canada,USA,Austrailia etc: -English test requirement-IELTS,TOEFL -Educational qualification.e.g Bachelor,Masters -Fall under a certain Occupation e.g They are looking for people in certain occupations e.g Accountant,IT Analyst,Engineer etc -Financial requirement e.g have a minimum amount in your bank account or asset valued at minimum threshold. 36 Likes 1 Share |

Kekereekun123:You will live the life of a slave if you don't have legal papers.: -Unable to access healthcare. -Can't buy property or access credit. -Get a driver's licence and have to watch over your shoulders if you choose to drive without a licence for the police -Leave the country and re-enter. -Get an office job and only qualify for jobs that require physical labour. -Subject to blackmail when you find an employer that will pay you under the table without legal papers. Nigeria has failed it citizens, so it speaks volume when people will choose to rather be a slave in a foreign country. I understand the motivations why people choose to risk their lives to escape, but you have know what your getting yourself into. 62 Likes 1 Share |

Kekereekun123 post=88577781: The oyinbos migrated because they are rich and with this richness comes power. So, they deserve to migrate as they deem fit. Japanese, South Koreans, Malaysians and Singaporeans aren't oyinbos but they move freely too without visas because they are rich. No one disrespects a rich person, no one. 85 Likes 2 Shares |

OP, I think you also need to include the option of buying a citizenship or by investment even though it is way beyond the reach of the vast majority of Nigerians. 3 Likes |

Gerrard59:I forgot to add that in. For example you can buy a Botswana citizenship for $93,000 dollars. Their passport is visa free to UK,Ireland,Hong Kong,Singapore and many other countries. Many fantastically corrupt Nigerian politicians use their loot to buy citizenship of countries that offers visa free travel around the world. 61 Likes 3 Shares |

RuudVanNisteroy: . Regarding Botswana, it would be glad if she changes her immigration policy to grant dual citizenship to non-Brits (only British citizens can obtain dual citizenship with Botswana). Furthermore, if she does a similar policy like Canada, she would get lots of applications from people who want a sane life while in Africa. At the last statement, it's why I'm surprised and angry when Nigerians develop sympathy for those fvcktards when something negative happens to them. Anyway, the vast majority of Nigerians deserve whatever they get. 26 Likes 2 Shares |
