ABINTUK:

The cameras may not even be functional...

Gov.... DPO what happened to the cameras?

DPO.... Your Excellency, the battery was low.

Case close.
Umahi can hire and fire in an hour. If you are employed to see to the smooth working of the camera and you failed, consider yourself fired. Though all cameras in the state has a solar panel attached to it; there's gonna be no case of low battery whatsoever. And he can possibly be checking the camera records from time to time, any case of bribery with be dealt with accordingly

It could be for security reasons. Acrimonies between warring communities are normally settled between 19:00-07:00.

Restricting movements would prevent that if enforced and effectively monitored. There were emphasis on borders and CCTV, I think this has to do with cross border crisis.

Your assertion makes more sense.

Exactly you’re right, the control should star at the border
Eulalia:

Then the govt. Is not doing it job well.
Why not station security men at those borders to control the migration of people in that area? With the right security measures, there wont be need for this epileptic lockdown or it will at least make it effective.

What's all these lockdown in less risky states for?

Three weeks ago, Kano was where Ebonyi is, ditto Katsina.

That allowed Covid 19 to enter and dance skelewu for their side...well well.

Best to be prepared. Or else...

. The fact remain that any law enforcement agency nigeria goverment provide to enforce lockdown or to stay at the border post will always take bribe or should i say compromise ....

That is another problem the country is facing. Bribery and Corruption on all levels. And that is why this thing keeps spreading.

5. Bribery in all borders is out lawed. Both the giver and the receiver shall be arrested and charged according to Ebonyi State COVID-19 Laws.
So bribery is allowed within the borders. Haha

6. Henceforth, all Council Chairmen and Councilors whose border areas are porous shall be suspended. All appointees whose borders are leaking shall be removed from office.

This is very dictatorial and unconstitutional. The Governor should seek legal advice from the AG of the state before making such statements. This is not a military government.

.

Seems the virus doesn't transmit within that period of 7pm- 7am

Well some lockdowns don't even do the door to door thing...

Some are without palliatives

Some never liked his people...

Recall the woman that infected her 17 children because she's asymptomatic?

Okowa was the first to initiate this, and it's curfew not lockdown, targetted at those night gatherings in delta state.

There is a major difference between the guidelines as issued by Okowa and Umahi.

In Ebonyi people are allowed to go about their normal businesses between 7am to 7pm. Movements are only restricted between 7pm to 7am.

In Delta the businesses are closed partially between 7am to 7pm except those on essential services and movements of any kind banned between 7pm to 7am.

Technically, there is no lockdown in Ebonyi

How can lockdown be 7pm - 7am? How Can that prevent anything after people might have met with each other and may have infected themselves?

He is taking proactive measures, if Nigerian government had closed our borders early enough we would not have gotten into this mess.

Use your head for once joor... That is the time of the day those outside the state including those who are sick would want to smuggle themselves into the state thereby jeopardising government effort on preventing the spread from reaching them. Intelligent fools everywhere
