I just only pity the gullible supporters supporting him even when he goes wrong. Now they would start twisting their tongues for next story. God bless Nigeria.!!! |

[quote author=Kinematics post=88615324] There's nothing wise there, if he was wise in the first place he wouldn't start such a needless fight, is Rivers state the least affected oil producing state in Nigeria? Did other governors needed to apply this agbero style of engagement before they could curb the virus? This act shows he acts before thinking which is very bad for a person who's the leader of a whole state. 2 Likes |

The Governor should cool down. The way he spoke some days ago about 'fghting' federal might was not the way to go about it. This capitulation shows that, at last, he has started applying some wisdom. That is what he needs all along. |

Lostz:No, you cannot just stand up and do it. He didn't declare it because by all reasonable standard, there were better alternative and the situation was not uncontrollable. But let me ask you, if you are a president and a state governor declare war on your nation through sponsoring criminals to attack key personnel and national assets, what will you do? Remember, the argument was hinged on Wike sponsoring militants and creating a security situation for the government. |

Whether we like it or not rivers state government is only government that has successfully tackles this corona virus due to it's promptly strict preventive measures. Unlike other states that allow their people to contract, treat, discharge or they died. The best way to fight this novel diseases so far according to ongoing research and available data is preventive measures. Financial gains do not equates life. 1 Like |

His intensions were not good, the police intercepted these guys at the border of Rivers state if his intentions were good he would have sent them back but he allowed them into his state. What if they were truly positive its an increase in Rivers state count and potential transmission of the virus. Politicians play on our emotions to achieve their aims. Dakad: 1 Like |

TroubleMaker47: The FG will lose of course in revenues but that's when they will turn the heat on Wike and I can bet you, he won't survive. On the long run the state may pay for those loses by having its allocation deducted at source. The chain reaction will have the gov holding the shorter end (if any) of the stick. It's all about tact and diplomacy. 1 Like |
