Lostz:well, I am still surprised you think Wike can just stand up and control the resources or fight the FG. Somebody that doesn't control even police, let alone military. Is it the militants you will use to wage a war against a country? Again, the country has seem a civil war before if you forget. Wike himself knows when to call it off and his limits. And no, he cannot come and say he is sponsoring it, but there is intelligence everywhere, isn't it? |

We are basically saying the same. Honestly he had a good intention but approach is not refine which still born out of his personality. Wike general acts before he thinks. This is a governor he makes pronounce of free education in a gathering which has nothing to do with education without putting any framework in place. His personality is perfect for a Nigeria party chairman; he is good in propaganda gare2510: |

sunnyanet:pls how will that affect the state alone? It will affect the entire nation even zamfara,Lagos and Abuja. because revenue will drop and once it drops whatever they want to share rivers state will always get it's share from it.. I might be wrong anyway |

Hyperchi:They deemed the situation not worthy one. They have not identified them because they dont want to. Anytime they want, they can do it if they are within the country. And I thought majority of us agreed the govt know them but they are just playing politics with the war for personal gains |

zikter:yes technically you are right but don't forget that Wike can frustrate the entire country... Hope you still remembered what happened at the early stage of buhari presidency when militants were bombing all the oil Installation in the area Untill the vice president went to plead to the governors to talk to them! |

zikter: a civil war fought with almost bare hands? all he have to do is stop oil activities in River State and your state will struggle to pay salary. even FG know their limits. that is why they always negotiate behind the scenes. breaking away from Nigeria is easy in this age.......when there is unity between the citizens and leaders. or you think other southern states will fold their hands and watch you crush Rivers? |

Lostz:Rivers contributes 20% of oil revenue.this can be replaced by increasing production in other states or even external borrowings while rivers cannot replace those losses.when obj fought governors, did states unite to fight obj? Mind you he fought several governors at once.I know you hate apc but wike is overreaching.he is making it easy for the fg to crush his stulructure in 2023 |

annisy:yes, that is what I stand for. Issues can be handled amicably through dialogue to avoid unnecessary damages. I have nothing personal with Wike. If anything I commend his efforts on covid-19. Just that he didn't need to come public and be drawing sword when it wasn't necessary. Even if he had issues with FG on Covid-19, there is presidential panel he could align with. 1 Like |

senatordave1: River State contribute 22% of Nigeria oil revenue. remove 22% from your state allocation at a time when oil is $12 and recession is just months ahead. you think you can just increase production in other states? obj fought governors at a time when no one properly understand the Constitutional role of the president. FG cannot crush River State. they tried it in 2019 and they ended up with no APC candidate. Wike did not build any structure. whatever he is using was inherited and will continue to exist even after he is gone |

[quote author=ddippset post=88615160]By the time they withhold Rivers allocation for 2 years, you will know who will lose. where will the major "Allocation" come from? in as much as we all need peace in this trying time, if the state emback on what i term "conflict with the FG,the state will suffer most buh it woun't be easy for the FG.my brother you wount understand.by the time some sympathisers of the state seize that avenue and enter creeks to destroy oil facilities and fg will spend more in fighting back, contending with boko haram and covid-19 my dear things will realy go off hands.gov. wike acted well cox PEACE is priceless. |
Re: Rivers Releases 22 Exxonmobil Staff Arrested For Violating Lockdown Order by Nobody: 6:29pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
zikter: the break away is being delayed by the elites who are benefiting and the lack of will by the people all we need is for the elites to unite the people under one umbrella. FG have the option of going after the region in 2016 but decided to negotiate so your state can be able to pay salary. the Southsouth is an important region in Nigeria. that is why FG is always negotiating for peace, avoiding anything that will unite the region. you will be fighting Boko boys in the North and militants in the South. no country will survive it |

Lostz:The fg is already losing more than 40% of projected revenue and still doing fine.losing oil from rivers will change nothing.fg is not fighting rivers but wike, spot the difference..my state depends heavily on igr so leave that side. In 2019,fg did not fight wike.apc was not even involved, it was purely between amaechi and wike.you saw how wike was threatened by a small party.apc is taking over rivers 2023 |
