@ Frank ..Does CIC do random processing or first come basis?...am seeing people that submitted February still waiting while march applicants have been attended to.why?

It's quite unfortunate that IRCC doesn't practice the first come first serve basis when processing a visa application. This is as a result of individual case differences as every applicant's application is unique and as such treated based on the visa officer's perspective. About 20% of applications are more complex for the immigration officers to process due to things like how easily they can verify information, how well and how quickly an applicant answer their requests and whether the application is complete.

I hope this information helps.

It will end in praises.

NwanyiOkpa:
Good evening,

Thanks for all your contributions and answers to my previous questions. However, I have a few more questions that i need to ask;

1. Can i use the statement of account that i request through the mobile app and is delivered directly to my email address? or must i visit the bank and get it stamped? NB: The statement has the bank's watermark.

2. According to the Canadian immigration requirement for a student visa, I need to show funds for year one alone. Do i need to show funds for year 2 also?

Thanks in anticipation.

NwanyiOkpa:

I doubt you are right but let's wait for the gurus sha.

Because from my calc, it's suppose to be

Year 1: 21K + 10K
Year 2: 4K + 10K

The first question has already been answered by me.... please refer to my previous post about using ONLINE GENERATED BANK STATEMENT for a study visa application.

It is the responsibility of the visa officer to determine whether your sponsor has the financial capability to cover for the subsequent years of study. This is achievable by going through your sponsor's financial history and ongoing turnover in his/her bank statement. That's the more reason it is very important to show excessive funds available especially if your program duration is more than a year.

Following the financial illustration given by you... Tuition and living expenses for the first year is = 31kCAD. Your sponsor should have a total sum of 12.5M and above to show adequate financial resources to cover for the first year of studies and ability to sponsor the subsequent years of study.

It will end in praise

Hello Mr Frankrobbn1 and everyone else. I specifically mentioned the above BC I'm new and i don't know how to post independently yet so i quoted him. I'd appreciate if everyone would give me an input bc I'm currently going gaga.

I applied first in Jan and got denied in Feb. Refusal Details being: "current employment situation and family ties in home country and in Canada"

Here's my profile:
I'm 23(24 by October) No tertiary education yet, i have an 8 year gap from end of secondary schl up till 2020.
I've been working since 2016 as an ict staff at an energy company, learning software dev. And volunteering at a local book club
SOA= 11,200usd + 13M , sponsor is mum, 2yr fees + living expenses is way less than the total of what i presented so money aint issue.
I gained adms at NBCC for a 2yr diploma in network administration for Fall 2020,
I had my sponsor write a letter too including my SOP , waec, family properties including a land Doc in my name, mum's last designation and salary increase.

I reapplied on 4th of march with all info above and added
Proof of family ties which include: Dad and mum's employment proof, my birth certificate and that of entire family, each member of family's local govt of origin cert
I also added proof of employment which include : Employment letter, confirmation letter, ID, Leave approval for duration of study from my employer and also indicated that i hv been denied bfr above.

This morning i got a BVL and from what I've been reading from y'all, BVL before medicals is likely a rejection which is my case at the moment. My mind is tricking me to think its bc of corona and no one would be reasonable to send a medical form at the moment.

Sorry for my very long post, Help a brother everyone

And pls how do i order GMCS notes

I regret to hear that your study visa has been rejected the second time. I would like to see the recent reason for a refusal from IRCC before I can be able to assist you on the best possible way to prepare an airtight and successful study permit application.

What if I evaluate the HND + PGD with WES, won’t it be a degree equivalent?

It might be a degree equivalent but that doesn't guarantee you a space for a master's program in Canada. Prior to be granted a master's admission in any of the designated institutions in Canada, graduate admission department always take into consideration your undergraduate GPA of which yours is an HND certification and not a Bachelor's degree. As i earlier advised, your better option is going for a PGD program in Canada without declaring the previous PGD during the visa application. This is the feasible way to increase your chances to be granted a Visa to study in Canada.

I hope this information helps.

Hi FrankRobbn1!

Thanks for all the advice you give on the platform.

I remember seeing a post sometime last year where you mentioned Unis that offer full funding for masters programmes. I can’t seem to find it now. Can you please share some suggestions (applicant’s undergrad was in Economics and Mathematics, 1st class).

Thanks!

I have not gotten a refusal yet Mr Frankrobbn1.
I only got a BVL yesterday.

And I said from what I've been reading on here, a BVL before medical request is likely a refusal.

Looking at my profile which i wrote earlier, a cause for alarm?

Lovely submit. I also will like to add that your university has an international student office, try to check-in with them.

my current phase,
the journeying is real and will end in praise

Frankrobbn1:

There is no set out timeframe by IRCC for you to be able to file for your wife's SOWP. Once you've successfully arrived Canada, secured an apartment and currently pursuing your program in a designated learning institution (DLI). You can absoutely apply for your wife to accompany you to Canada.

The list of required documents for a SOWP are as follows;
1-) Proof of your tuition receipt,
2-) Admission letter,
3-) Stamped page of your Canadian Visa,
4-) Study permit,
5-) Proof of enrollment in the school (list of registered courses).
6-) Proof of funding (please refer to the current financal cut-off for LICO and make sure you're using LICO for your proof of funds)
7-) Documents to show proof of relationship with your spouse (marriage certificate, wedding photos etc).
8-) Proof of sufficient ties that would compel you and your spouse return home (Aged parents which basically rely upon her for care and support, landed property documents, buildings, investments in the bank, proof of registered business certificate etc).
9-) Letter of explanation from you (explaining why your spouse should join you in Canada and how important your marriage is to both of you and why you can't leave her to stay alone in Nigeria and where she will staying in Canada (your address) etc).
10-) A letter of explanation from your spouse (detailing why she should join you in Canada with your kids (if any) etc..)
11-) International Bio data page (for you)
12-) International bio data page (for spouse)

The list goes on and on... these are few important requirements for a SOWP.

It will end in praise.

Hi House and guru like @Frankrobbn1, as I prepare gradually to apply for the SP, I have below questions please,

1. Sponsorship: My total money (both tuition and LE) for the 1st comes from school funding and myself (personal account) second year tuition is 75% funded and indicated in acceptance letter. In this case, who do I use as sponsor? myself? other? or family?. I wanted to add my uncle as co-sponsor basically for LE in second year if I will ever need money from another person in that second year.

2. EE prfile: What do you suggest I do with the EE profile? Do I withdraw it and include UCI number or leave it as it is? which one is better from experience?

3. Cost of Study section in the app form has tuition, room and board and other, there was no other expenses stated in my acceptance letter, only tuition and referred me to cic site for guidance. Now, do I put my tuition, LE as room and board? what do I now put in "other"?
Again,it required cost of my studies, is it for the whole program (2yrs) or just for the first year?

4. Lastly , I'm married with a kid before traveling to US and they are at home in Nigeria, but the marriage was a traditional one and there is no certificate from the court yet, I was lazy to do that before I eventually traveled. Now, do I indicate status as married or Common-Law? They will request for marriage certificate if I indicate married and Statutory declaration of C-L if I choose that. Challenge will be that how do we sign Declaration while we are apart in US and Nigeria? Can they accept two different declaration? one from here and another from Nigeria?

Thanks so much as usual, I appreciate. So sorry for the length. @Frankrobbn1 and other experience folks, please, help.

OluwaFavored:
Hi House and @Frankrobbn1, I'm patiently waiting for your responses, please.

In addition to my question 4, is marriage certificate or Declaration of Common Law relationship needed along with applications if your spouse is not coming along to Canada?

OluwaFavored:
Please, @Frankrobbn1 and all other experience folks, I need your response to below, spare me few minutes please.

My sincere apologies to have skipped your questions and was busy responding to other prospective applicants concerns.

Fast forward to your questions,

1-) To be eligible for a self-sponsorship. You must show proof of means of financial support for the remaining miscellaneous expenses that might occur during the course of your program in Canada since the second year tuition is 75% funded. You can add your uncle as a co-sponsor to your visa application basically to cover for the living expenses in second year that's if the funds in your account isn't adequate enough to sustain you for the subsequent years.

2-) Withdraw the EE and include the UCI number in the IMM 1294E application form given that your CRS score didn't meet up with the current Express Entry draw (455 on April 16, 2020).

3-) Tuition - Indicate your first year tuition fees as stipulated on the acceptance letter.
Room and Board - 10,000CAD
Others - 3,000CAD
Funds available = Total tuition for the first year, plus room and board plus others. This makes up the funds available for my stay.

4-) Declare your martial status as married. You can sign the form even though you're in the US. All you need to do is to fill the form with the necessary information, sign and send it across to your husband to append his signature and send it back to you to include with your application.

Sequel to your last question, marriage certificate is a compulsory document for candidates with spouse. This document is the only way to prove to the visa officer that you're legally married to your husband.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out here for assistance.

It will end in praise

If that is the case matured married applicant without children for now can certainly be self sponsored with how much in account for POF?. 3 -5 million naira okay for one year program?

Frankrobbn1:

March applicants have started receiving updates on their applications.

Matured married applicant can certainly be self-sponsored. That's even the most ideal way of proving to the visa officer that you're well-established in your home country and undoubtedly would return home after studies.
