Insanity: Hello Insanity, Most applicants tending to migrate through the EE route only familiarize themselves with the Federal Skill Worker Program which the CRS keeps increasing. However, its also advised that Nigerian applicants (mostly) should start familiarizing themselves with and exploring the Provincial Nominee Programs especially when the CRS is low. After the draw, applicants with a low CRS who also looked to the way of the PNP may succeed by getting nominated or by been able to secure an employer (which is not easy though because the NOC type must be what the provincr you are applying to requires) which by that gives the applicant an automatic 600 points plus the already had score which exceeds the required CRS for both the FSWP and PNP. Also keep in mind that the requirements for the PNP varies in each provinces. Let me put a stop here. Answering your questions: 1. If you do not want to explore the PNP route, then with your low CRS, it will be better if your withdraw your application before putting in a new application for your SP. We all know dual intent is allowed and recognized by IRCC and the VOs themselves which applicants have been guaranteed that it won't pose no harm to their TRV application. But however, the VOs act upon their discretion and not to be trusted at any time until the stamped passport has been retrieved and safely in your possession. Since you are still in the pool and with low CRS and with your WHOLEHEART now diverted to the SP route, you may consider withdrawing before applying for your TRV. 2. If they have other means of identification i.e. Nimc, International Passport, Driver's License or other government recognized and valid documents that clearly state their personal bio-data can be used as substitute. If you have your current employment letter and other documents that shows any work experience, you are good to go. In the other hand prior to when the lockdown has been lifted HOPEFULLY in May, you can send them through the CSE or email. 3. No, it won't affect your application. For now, worry less about which account your funds is breathing through. All the best. |

Goldmia: CSE simply means Case Specific Enquiry. You use THE NAIROBI WEB FORM platform to enquire about the current status of your application as well as to include additional documents which you deem fit to be useful in your application. You don't need a police character certificate for study visa application. It's an optional document. It will end in praise 1 Like |

goldbergg: Yes it's very possible to do that only if applications for September 2021 is open. Simply write with cogent reason to the international admission office of your school requesting for a deferment to the next available term. It will end in praise 1 Like |

Frankrobbn1: Mr Frank, Good day and you do a great job as well as Naijaforeigner as well(I really appreciate) Please Mr Frank, I have a degree in mechanical engineering but I want to get admission into a school in Canada, post graduate diploma or graduate diploma as they call it there. I tried to google for some schools and all I see is Business management, Human Resource management and some other courses. I did not see any one that is related to Engineering or even project management something relative to Engineering. Honestly I am used to holding my calculator and finding X so doing courses that doesn’t involve calculating might be a challenge. So can you suggest some schools I can try also? With a CGPA just above 3 point 1. Refund policy should be good 2. Maybe part scholarship (optional) 3. It should be a DLI Please Mr Frank I even sent you email as well. |

Hammedbankole: Mr. Hammed you can check google or visit the link below for information on the following PGD/PGC Mech. Engineering Courses, u might likely get what u want.. Graduate Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Concordia University, Quebec https://www.concordia.ca/ginacody/mechanical-industrial-aerospace-eng/programs/mechanical-eng/grad-certificate.html Postgraduate Diploma PGD in mechanical Engineering University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan https://grad.usask.ca/programs/mechanical-engineering.php#Applicationprocess Graduate Diploma in Engineering Memorial University of Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador All this in Fanshawe College, Ontario https://www.fanshawec.ca/programs-and-courses Graduate Certificate in Composites and Advanced Materials Aerospace Manufacturing https://www.fanshawec.ca/programs/cam2-composites-and-advanced-materials-aerospace-manufacturing/next Graduate Certificate in Applied Mechanical Design https://www.fanshawec.ca/programs/amd2-applied-mechanical-design/next#group_admission Graduate Certificate in Applied Aerospace Manufacturing https://www.fanshawec.ca/programs/amf2-applied-aerospace-manufacturing/next#group_admission Graduate Certificate in Practical Elements of Mechanical Engineering https://www.fanshawec.ca/programs/pem1-practical-elements-mechanical-engineering/next#group_admission Embedded Systems Engineering Design Graduate Certificate, Lambton College, Toronto 1) Visit the website of the respective schools to know their Refund Policies 2) Scholarships are mostly meant for Undergraduate, Masters & PHD Applicants not for PGD/PGC applicants (I stand to be corrected) 3)To know if an institution is DLi Visit here https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html and check the List of designated learning institutions by province/territory Step 1: Choose the province or territory your school is in. Step 2: Type in keywords such as the name of the school, city, etc. Step 3: Find the designated learning institution number and write it down Good luck 1 Like |

Lekiboboe: Thank you very much for your response. I will want to dm ask what is the difference between GRADUATE CERTIFICATE AND GRADUATE DIPLOMA. Then also does graduate certificate increases CRS scores? University of Saskatchewan,...they said I have to have 70% cgpa before I can apply and mine is not up to. I have 62%. And they are also saying I should search for supervisors first before applying. Memorial University of Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador .... same with this one to search for supervisor and 70% cgpa for post graduate diploma. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Lekiboboe: 2:25pm On Apr 20, 2020 |
Hammedbankole: Graduate diplomas offered in Canada are typically taken following a bachelor's degree and a successful award allows progression to a master's degree. Depending on the institution, a graduate diploma in Canada may be at graduate level or bachelor's level. Similar courses at other Canadian institutions may be termed postgraduate diplomas at graduate level and post-baccalaureate diploma at bachelor's level. Graduate Certificate is a credential usually offered to students who have completed an average of 15 credits of graduate course work[clarification needed]. Admission requirements vary tremendously among Canadian universities, but in general both graduate students, as well as undergraduate students having completed a Bachelor's degree, can apply to such a program. In some cases, the graduate certificate can represent part of the coursework required for obtaining a Master's degree. From my own perspective, I feel they are the same.. As per the PGD of the Universities, since ur Percentage is less than what they require, u can opt for the PGC/PGD Colleges (e.g Fanshawe and Lambton) With ur percentage, u will likely get admitted to a College. And there are other schools offering PGC/PGD courses Engineering not necessarily Mech. Eng. Visit here to check https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Engineering&program_level_merged=Graduate+level+certificate%2Fdiploma&program_language=ENGLISH# U can also Visit Ontario College website https://www.ontariocolleges.ca/en/programs Explore each Colleges and check for their PGC/PGD Engineering programs Make sure any school (college/university) you decide to choose is a DLI institute Good luck |

Hello, Please I would like some answers on the following questions. I recently just got denied a Canadian study visa and I was given reasons as to why I was rejected but it still doesn’t make sense to me., the first reason was 1. That they didn’t think I’ll come back because if my ties in Canada and in Nigeria 2. They didn’t think I’ll come back based on my current employment status And I had every document they requested. Please I would like to know what you suggest I do and how I go about this. Thanks |
