Hello all, is it possible to link up with anyone in going to either university of chester or university of sunderland for the purpose of shared accommodation. As a self funded student, my funds can only cater for my tuition fees and i intend to get a job to offset accommodation/living costs. I have admissions to both school and i am yet to decide on which school based on the aforementioned reasons. Please anyone with an helpful info can link up pls. 1 Like 1 Share |

Check gumtree or SpareRoom U.K. for cheap rooms in your city. Can find like £300 per month with bills. No need to wait for someone to share accommodation with you. Besides you will individually charged as you’re not a couple Temeetee: |

Skymoore1004: What if it was a couple, would a £300 Room be convenient for them? Meanwhile, payment for rent is it monthly or yearly that is accepted? Thanks in anticipation of your feedback |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Skymoore1004: 7:12pm On Apr 20, 2020 |
It depends on the accommodation rules or landlord. If you’re a couple , you can rent a double room and instead of paying £600 for eg, you pay something like £400 since you’re sharing the same room. It all depends on the rules so you to make contact to be sure. At time it’s written on the website too. The room size varies so I cannot determine that. Payment is usually monthly with private landlords but you can also pay yearly , thats your choice. Uni accommodations can ask for a payment monthly or quarterly or yearly. Odedenshi1: 2 Likes |

Can any one be kind enough and respond to my questions and not refer me? I have read from part 1 to part 3. I couldn't find related answers to what I am about to ask. I have also used Google with no success. I have HND in computer engineering with lower credit but I have been into personal business(confectionery) since I graduated 10 years ago. I would like to pursue a career as a chef. Is it possible I change my course from computer engineering to hospitality? I have read online that HND holders can only do Top up, Pre-master and Post graduate diploma. (1) I seem not to understand which exactly is the best. (2) Cheapest/affordable city and schools(accredited) that offer hospitality I can apply with potential student jobs. Accredited schools with tuition fee discount and scholarship. |

This your question get as e be There is not cheapest city or university. Most universities offer accredited programs with tuition discounts available for self sponsored students. I don’t know if you can qualify for post graduate diploma with your HND but I know you can do one year top up. See ehn google is your friend. traveluk: |

Skymoore1004: One thing I've learned, most courses offered in UK universities are not accredited and it doesn't really matter except you're in the medical field or highly technical fields like BioMed, Lab science etc 2 Likes 1 Share |

One thing I dislike about nairaland is that people will tell you to ask Google or start reading from the beginning. Someone like me is aware of this tradition and won't be asking questions here if I haven't explored Google or read from the scratch. Are there institutions that allow installmental payment and for how many times. Thanks |

traveluk: Eyaah.... sorry. What were your questions? 1. You want to study Hospitality ( you have 10 years experience as a chef). That’s fantastic. Just search for your proposed course, and search the schools. Then apply. If they require more, they will tell you. 2. Cheapest/affordable city? What if the ‘cheapest cities’ don’t have the course of your choice? This is what you should do: First: Search for ALL the schools that offer the course you want. Second: Create a table with the following columns: Name of school City School fees Requirements Comments/notes Third: Either apply on the school websites, or send specific enquiries to the admission team of the schools. They will reply you. 4 Likes |

traveluk: If you dislike Nairaland, why asking a question. Always note that no one is obligated to answer questions because no one has been employed as the customer service agent here but share out of their freewill and willingness to share, so it should be respected and helps one to build social capital. If you had truly read from the scratch, you wouldn't have been asking this question because it has been covered severally through the pages. Go to the school(s) you have narrowed down and visit their payment plan pages. Below is a sample.
