With all these prospects pledging for Nigeria, some enemies of progress would continue to clamour for the inclusion of home based players making up 20-25% of the composition of the Super Eagles team!!!! What is the use of calling up these home based players when they would not be used in a game and would only occupy space, preventing genuine talents that could potentially help us win games from making the team due to some misguided belief in quota system.

We do not produce stars from the local scene like Football.

It is somewhat difficult for us to use foreign born players because we always had our stars (segun odegbami, austin okocha, sunday oliseh, haruna illerika).
Our local football scene is not too backward. It is bad in terms of structure BUT NOT TALENT.
We can easily get a boy from ajegunle into monaco in a few years because the raw talent and even knowledge is there.
This is why people advocating foreing born players will meet a lot of opposition. We will be like is Aribo better than Oliseh?
I mean we only need to make sure our u17 players have a good career and the need for foreign born is reduced.
For example if samson tijani, akinkunmi amoo etc set get good clubs like chelsea, dortmund, sevilla in the next 5 years, they could even
end up better than foreign born players.
This is what advocates of foreign born for our football teams dont understand.
We are a football giant in some respects (okocha used to play for Enugu rangers, yekini for shooting stars)
Our recent slump in football i believe is just temporal.
In time, we can get to the semi-final of the world cup.
That golden generation of okocha could have done it if they were disciplined and had a good structure and so we have the innate beleif in our selves as a footballing nation.
This is unlike basketball which we are not too familiar with.

This is just one way to look at it.

Regardless, NBFF is arguably the most organized sports federation in the nation and I can forsee basketball givin football a run for its money in terms of popularity in this country. Our male and female teams have a bright future ahead of them.

I don't know ooo. I watched the Nigerian handball league on TV so I give them the upper hand on best federation in the country, even cricket sef. Don't forget the issues our basketball had prior to the FIBA tournament.

Spencer Dinwiddie is probably one of the smartest basketball players in the NBA. Though his motivation seems just about going to the Olympics, I wouldn't be surprised if this is not part of some master plan. The guy is a baller Sha. Would probably be the best player on our team if he joins.

When I tell u guys Ndidi hasn't been there for Nigeria, most of you would go berserk, I can't remember a game in Nigerian colours he was a colossus, dude was more or less abysmal in Egypt, carelessly giving away free kicks that cost us matches, in some cases, he even deflected the same free kicks into our goal post. I am no big fan of Etebo, as I consider him a carpenter, but he has been the better midfielder for Nigeria, than Ndidi

I tell, your Last paragraph is on point. Indidi has a hand in the two defeat we suffer in the AFCON. The lost we suffer against Madagascar was as a result of the deflection from the free kick from the madagascans, and again he was found culprit when he commited that foul on the die Minutes against Algeria

Well I use to say it too..ever since ndidi has been playing for super eagles, he has Neva impressed me or let me say,he has not giving us d same performance he churn out in games for Leicester city...except in one game...our 2nd match against Guinea in afcon,he was impressive in dt match, but in everyoda matches,he has just been dere or below average most times...some monikers blamed it largely on d formation rohr plays wc affects his performance...I don't want to biliv in dt theory though
