Government can't do anything to those private hospitals since Abba Kyari was also admitted in one of them. Hat trick of own goals 2 Likes |

Sincerely I think Lagos state government beats about the bush with this containment issue. Everywhere you go, you find cars, buses, kekes and bikes going about as if nothing is happening. Policemen and members of the Lagos state neighbourhood security people are out there using "we dey here" to collect money from them all and letting them move on. People do not care about social distancing. Literates and illiterates alike mock those who wear masks and hand gloves, claiming "nothing dey happen". Check out how Anambra and Ebonyi states are tackling the issue and offenders. Lagos state government should seriously tackle offenders and ensure that safety measures are adhered to. A general opinion is that the north would be the worst affected because of their beliefs and poverty. We should note that Lagos suffers also from the mental poverty of a lot of the people. With corvid 19 gradually getting into comnunities now how can people who live in densely populated areas and those in face me I face you be managed? The illegal hospitals should be shut down and their staff arrested totally as they bring confusion into the system. Unfortunately this will not be done as such big hospitals are owned by their friends, patrons or political associates. Those are the hospitals of the big men in Nigeria. If the hospitals mentioned were in Ajegunle, Bariga or Okokomaiko, their MDs would have been arrested and the places permanently closed down. It does not end with providing food and respirators, etc, government must go out there and deal squarely with this matter, otherwise just like the north, Lagos sits on a keg of gun powder in this matter. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Sahara reporters should learn to practice responsible journalism. Dr Emeka Chugbo contracted corona virus from a patient he operated on who was asymptomatic at the time of admission. 1 Like |

This may be the reason this pandemic is keeping spreading.private hospital handling these patients is not so good.there are so many people attending the hospital for one thing or the other and nurses attending to these patients would also think of attending to other different patient which there could be mistake in handling and sanitising themselves. 2 Likes |

All this pipu talking about sanctioning of these private hospitals are nothing but hypocrites. If abba had survived, the words of today would have been government open private hospitals to treat patients! Government is greedy and doesn't want other to feed and so on. If the government is really serious about this Covid-19, it should work with private hospitals that are willing to help in treating C19 patients. 1 Like |

@SaharaReporters, I’ll score you 0.00 on this reportage cos they are hospitals where the sick go to for treatment. They won’t deliberately endanger the lives of their staff & patients because of money knowing fully well that covid is brutal. The symptoms of covid is almost the same with common flu or pneumonia. Most of the patients that contaminated their hospitals were untruthful about their history (be it travel or contact with recent covid patient). I won’t blame them for what happened. 1 Like |
