Arrest them and hand them over to the covid-19 taskforce. That way, they will not put themselves (policemen) at risk cos they will find out cos of death and know if they will proceed on isolation in case it was covid-19

Police operatives and some medical personnel at Osun/Oyo border on Sunday evening reportedly intercepted a car, said to have conveyed a sick man, who eventually died while being checked.

As long as one of the symptoms of Covid 19 is coughing...... and someone died coughing, he/she remains a suspect until tested and proven otherwise...... that's my take.
Those officers should have been fumigated to avoid stories...... there should be officers whose jobs will be to fumigate the others that stops vehicles to interact with them.

They escorted them back to the border and the other police unit said, they saw a vehicle with corpse. The report didnt say, they have been handed over to health authorities for medical investigation. That is my concern.

Most likely it is!

They probably were treating the person at home with local herbs and stuff until his situation got worse, or they initially took him to some quack local hospital instead of following the proper protocol the gov't has outlined and been drumming into everyones ears for weeks now! Hopefully the police also adhered to the social-distancing rules too!

When i say a lot of Nigerians are very stubborn and can act daft and like semi-illiterates atimes, this is a good exmple of what i mean!
