Have anybody noticed the severe rate of visa refusals by the Irish embassy Abuja since the past 3 weeks. It's critically alarming. https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/nigeria/our-services/visas/weeklydecisionreports/ |

You don’t blame them. They’re tired of Nigerians If I were a country, I will be very strict with Nigerian applicants. Why? They stay spoiling their reputation everywhere they go. If they’re not doing fraud, they’re raping someone or commuting one offence or the other. How many times do we see other african nationals on news committing a useless crime? Very disappointing because Ireland use to issue visa like tomorrow no dey before. Canada & Germany too don lock up for Nigerians. US no go area. Some other few European countries get their own restrictions too. What a shame ExpressBooking: 1 Like |

Skymoore1004: People think its a joke, Nigerians are very foolish but we always think we are smart, besides we don't even add any value and respect to this countries, we go there and remain average why won't they deny us visa. Imagine someone will spend 2 to 4 years studying or living abroad but he/she will blatantly refuse to learn their language, refuse to engage in voluntary community service, break their women's heart, complain of racism at the slightest provocation etc and on top of all these engage in minor or major crimes, its like we think these countries are blind to all our negative behaviors. If we don't change, very soon we will be struggling to enter ECOWAS countries. 5 Likes |

SameeD96:Good day SameeD96...Do you hear anything from the Irish visa appeal decision via Email or so because I know the embassy is closed down for now and no one can travel for now. |

ExpressBooking: I doubt decisions are biased though. Probably just due to lock-down . No one is going anywhere for now. Tourist and student visa is only valid for 3 months mostly and no one knows when all this will end . so fingers crossed that lock-down ends soon. |

Skymoore1004: They actually can deny - If you applied to visit end of March for a specific purpose, think about it- this is April lockdown is still in full effect why will they approve such? 1 Like |

Skymoore1004: You are not comprehending, someone can submit an app in Feb to visit Dublin in July/August another may submit in Feb to visit in April. Its seems logical to approve for the Later entry than someone who intended going in April . Its that simple thats how visa approval works. Not saying all refusals has to do with Covid-19 but definitely it has huge impact on decisions at this time, SIMPLE 2 Likes |

lovylovy:Why choose Letterkenny? Thats far North of Ireland and close to Northern Ireland. Its a nice city but very cold as Irish weather is crazy No summer in Ireland but for the past few days the weather as been super cool Sunny everyday Depending on what you are going to study ? IT is hot cake |

lovylovy: ITs are in hot demand anywhere in Ireland. Jobs are in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Dundalk, Carlow and Limerick Ireland is experiencing her worst homeless crises in years esp Dublin, Cork and Galway. Dublin is really expensive while Letterkenny is cheap Dublin is Lagos of Ireland while Letterkenny is like Ondo or Osun cos they are cheap to live but Jobs are really hard to get 1 Like |

My PTE score report, will I print the one sent to me. Or will PTE have to send it to them. 3. My international passport expires by August 2021, hope it wont affect the Visa application. 4. If am to submit my personal statement of account what should be the minimum balance in it. Thanks |
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Alday: 6:21am On Apr 26, 2020 |
Hi. I can only answer 1, 2 and 4 from my little experience 1. Irrespective of who's sponsoring you, you must submit your recent 6-months statement of account. If you have a sponsor, the sponsor's recent 6-months statement of account must also be submitted. 2. You can just print the pdf version of your PTE score report which you downloaded from your Pearson dashboard. 3. If your sponsor is 100% responsible for your study expenses, then it's expected that your sponsor's balance should hold your outstanding tuition plus 7,000 Euros living expenses coverage AND some funds to sustain your sponsor and his/her declared number of dependants after your study expenses are deducted. Your own statement of account should then show whatever amount your sponsor have sent you so far if any, plus flows of your work remuneration if you indicated that you have been on a paid job within the period covering your statement of account and any other funds which you may have in your account. Someone else can help you with an accurate reply for number 3. I don't want to give you a guess. You can also go through the earlier pages on this thread. Some of these questions have been answered in some way before. Also go through the INIS pages containing the relevant study visa application guides. Evraunited: 1 Like |
