Maybe, but the demand for masks has gone up, and Lagos in particular wants to make mask wearing compulsory.

Plus, importing masks is becoming more difficult, even for megapowers like the USA and the UK (USA just had a mask import order delayed...for 'some reason')

The mask they are talking about in USA is not your regular mask, they can mass produce that. The one that is scarce is n95 mask produced by only one company called 3M. US is not looking for anyhow mask

This is very good.

But the Aba method of mass production is a more grassroot oriented system where they are neither looking for publicity or government patronage. Those boys down there are producing on their own power, braving every challenge and getting better at everything they set their minds to.

We don't care about any government handouts. Give us a port in Ibaka, let us import raw materials and export finished goods and in 10 years, Dubai will be buying from us.

And there goes the empty boasting and vain chest-beating. All i see is inferiority complex.

Nice one. Your excellence, please award 5 billion face masks contract to this company and compulsory it for every body to use it. Thereafter, allow every body to go back to work. Thank you your excellence .

The US should beg us for face mask. Soon we will start exporting face mask to America

The US is after N95 masks, not cloth masks

Rubbish.

Why should we leave Gatimo of Adenike Ogunlesi and run all the way to Aba to buy face mask?

Are you sure you are okay?

There is a port already operating in SS, instruct your brothers to start utilizing the port. Stop crying like babies!

The Garment industry remains a big one in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

State government should use this COVID19 wahala and learn, they mustn't wait for instructions from Fg.

Every state should capitalize on one sector of the economy, then persuade FG to place embargo on import from the sector...

In that way, employment will increase and GDP will increase.

Stop wasting your time, they won't listen.

Nothing works in this country.

A port is not too much for your governors to construct...with the federal allocation they receive. They can complete it in 2-3 years.

Keep fooling yourselves, don't take your destinies into your hands. Ordinary gutters at Ariaria, you can't clear. Ikpeazu has refused to fix the roads to the markets at Ariaria. Keep asking for seaports. When they give you seaports, you start asking for ships too.

See the company producing masks in Ikeja, are they making noise and begging?
Even in Abia, are they using the facemasks produced in Aba? Sleep there o.

In fact...I just tire for the guy you quoted. They want to transform Aba to start exporting goods to Dubai...you will ask..who stopped them now from doing so...after all these decades?

Why we commend the efforts of the Aba boys in production of face Mask, it does not in anyway belittle what this Company is doing in Ikeja. It is going to be great ting for Dubai to buy from Aba and Lagosians and perhaps other Nigerians buy from the Ikeja factory at the end of the day it is a win-win for Nigeria. Proud of both of you, we encourage healthy competition.

So Nigerians can be this ingenious! I always say that in this country we are never in short supply of bright and intelligent people but we lack rulers that can't think and be supportive to the citizens. We have all what it takes to match the so called developed countries the problem is our lazy leaders. May God help us to use this covid-19 pandemic era to come alive to our senses.

Sure, it was a very mature response. I commend him for exercising emotional and tribal restraints in responding to you.

But your own initial post was actually an eyesore. Your having to berate the garment factory that the op is talking about here to praise and extol one garment factory in Aba is so shameful! That's quite unbecoming and childish!

I hope you will learn how to critique constructively and maturely from the guy you quoted.
