Our northern brothers from the north on nairaland , ( bighead9 DAnArrewa Arrewa ) claim they produce 90% of the food Nigeria consume, infact they the north feed this nation.
How true is this ? I mean, I won't doubt if these claims were in the 40s 50s 70s but how true are these claims in 2020?

We all know 87% of Nigeria's porvety is in the north, there are 20 million plus almejiri homeless beggars in the north some of them migrated with the begging business to south.

If truly the north is that much into agriculture they could have had billionaire farmers , not oil billionaires cause there is no drop of oil up north

The north is 3 times larger than the entire south by landmass , the lands are now turning to deserts for lack of farm activities on them

Its time for the born to rule parasites to return to what they were known for agriculture , the oil , the black gold that caused a civil war in this country has lost its value.

This lockdown has given us a tip of which region is capable, and if this lockdown continues it might lead to self determination of each region.

Now I challenge you to tell me one thing!! That is produced in igbo land which Nigerians consume??

The only thing you do is to gather Almejiri pictures and be posting on Nairaland!

Tell me one thing that is produced in igbo land which Nigerians consume!!

you people only assemble chines products in Aba, package them and tag them Aba made!!

The south east contribute nothing to our national pause!! Even the oil you're claiming in imo is not in commercial quantity!

Na just few igbo politicians dey use the money service their cars!

North is feeding your region!!

Northerners are feeding you from Generation to Generation!!

You should even thank the north more than you're thanking Jesus!! Cos they're your real Saviours!!

The only thing you do is to go and download 2008 Almajiri pictures and be posting on Nairaland...
Go to the North and see how development is hitting every state!
Go to kano, Kaduna, Gombe, jigawa and bauchi!!

Go and see how northern politicians are working for their people and developing urban areas!!

Your region at the other hand is backward and underdeveloped!! Beggers in the south east are in increasing in large numbers!!

You're here posting Almajiri pictures!! Using Almajiri pictures to convince your brothers that you're actually better than the north!!

Keep deceiving yourselves!!

This is your region!

The south east is the most backward region in Nigeria!!

Kano alone is in every aspect more developed than the entire South east!!

Your politicians don't care to develop your region!

Do you know why??

Because they know you're gullible!! They know that Las Las na Buhari and the north una go blame and will never hold them accountable!!

You will blame Buhari, blame the north and continue waiting for Biafra!!

That is why your region is backward and underdeveloped!!

When there is tomatoes crisis during Ramadan fasting, the south, east and west always suffer the effect.

The north is the food basket of Nigeria, from cow meat to potatoes are all gotten from the north especially in the middle belt.

If this corona virus crisis spread in the north and they go for total lockdown, Nigeria will enter a food crisis. Farmers in the north won't be able to farm.

Anybody that has lived in the north will tell stories of different type of fruits, vegetables and edible food you can buy when you go to their market.

The north is in every aspect better than east!!

We feed the nation!!

We make money through agriculture!!

A matured cow here in the north don't cost more 100k here in the north!!

We sell in the east for up to 250k

Bag of rice cost not up to 10k here in the north!!

We sell rice up to 20k in the east!!

Matured Goat is not up to 10k here!!

In the east we sell goat up to 30k

In the north beans is between 10 to 11k but in the east we sell beans up 22k!!

That's how it is in Tomatoes, pepper, onions, fruits etc!! That's why farmers in the north who have capital to invest more on farming use to be very rich!!

Tell me one thing that is in the east that we are going to miss if you leave??

Remember south south have rejected Biafra!!

Tell me one thing within your 5 Biafra state we are going to miss?

You feed the SE yet yo receive palliative 10000000* what the south east collect from the Federal government of Nigeria.

You should really be ashamed of yourself, and brutally disappointed in you brazen lies and deceit.

You think only Nigerians use Nairaland?

Foreigners who use Nairaland will be laughing at your folly.

These thread always turn stupid. I tried researching Nigeria agricultural output but I can't find reliable data. I have my suspicions about northern agricultural productivity. If I ever find reliable data I'll do topic justice.

You don't know what you are talking about.
Famine is now a new thing in the north.

If the north is so buoyant, why is there a serious case of hunger, malnutrition and stunted growth in that part of Nigeria?.

The only place in the so called north that produce significant food is the middle belt.
They produce yam, and spices and onion. That is the only thing the south needs from the middle belt.

The rest is produced in the south.
There is no southern region that does not grow food.

The herdsmen invading people's farmlands in southern Nigeria will give you a better picture.

The middle belt states are the food producers in the north.

That is why there is always farmers clashing with the Fulani.

Most the Fulani herdsmen are in the middle belt, migrating down south due to vegetation.

There is nothing in the core north.
