Unfortunately when these civil war generals and past office holders are dead. The only consolation is that most of their sons and daughters are either too stupid (like El Rufai's son) or disinterested in politics to continue the legacy of stagnation left by their fathers.

C.O.S is like the president best friend ooo... And in Buhari's case, he always wants someone who can lock up under any circumstance for him. Language barrier sef as ruled out all the three you mentioned.

Even in U.S they have old politician. The youth had their chance here in Nigeria too But their result is not overwhelming.

Aside from what seem to insult on Hon Adamu, the guy you quoted is for the most part right.

If you have an active principal, the COS will be 95% unheard of. But when the principal seem weak, the COS practically does the job of his principal.

And if the later situation is the case; an average person as a COS will be a disaster.

Nb. This is a clarification on why the roles of COS differ depending on the capabilities of different principals. Not about Adamu in particular.
