Regardless of who the senior partner is they're serious about banning petrol.
They are not banning oil anytime soon and before they do, Nigeria would have weaned itself off dependency on crude oil. It has vast reserves of other relevant minerals unlike Little India. tongue Remember gas is another very important resource for us. What else do you have.

kikuyu1:

What then? Oil is 90% + of your revenues. We need not go through your agriculture comedy stats again.
Oil is 83% of our government revenue. Last year alone we exported about $10bn worth of non-oil products. And our agricultural output has increased. We are Africa's largest producer of rice, second behind South Africa in maize, largest egg producer, largest in aquaculture, etc. Our cocoa export was also up before covid.

OGA, THE WORLD IS SWITCHING TO ELECTRIC NOW. BY 2030 ICE CARS WILL BE IN MUSEUMS.

Look at Volvo.

By 2030 most of the vehicles on roads will still be powered by petrol and diesel. Besides cars use just about 47% of crude oil products. The rest is used for other thincarefulote author=kikuyu1 post=88703077]
Dangote's giant refinery will be a monument to Naij-hubris, shortsightedness, misinvestment and enormous waste. Like Ajaokuta!!?

Don't worry. You'll be in Uganda's company. They discovered oil 6 years before us and thanks to M7's geopolitical genius trying to pull a fast one on Uhuru that oil will never reach market. Observe how even the biggest cheerleader of their pipeline project, a certain Tzn here who nutted on himself regularly screeching on the imminent completion of the Ug/Tz pipeline (it hasn't even begun!) is now silent.[/quote]Dangote refinery will be a beneficiary of cheap oil. Are you daft?
Besides the refinery will produce other products apart from petrol and diesel. It is also a petrochemical complex. It will probably export some of its products to Kenya.

Oil industry in Nigeria is different from the charade you had in Kenya. Remember you still owe Tullow about $2bn. How the hell did that happen. Your oil is a curse before you earned a dollar from it. grin
kikuyu1:

If you're not all very careful you'll BE SHARING AN OKADA WITH DANGOTE HIMSELF 5 YEARS HENCE!
In five years time Dangote and I would be richer than we are today. wink
If you are not careful, in five years time, there would be no difference between you and the skeletal starving horde in Turkana

from one Chinese survivor.......
“We have no food, no water, no sleep,” a Chinese migrant said as she hid from the government on a cocoa farm late last week, adding that more than 100 others were there too, fearing arrest. Now the group has fled again, she said, hoping to make it safely back home. “Everyone is scrambling for a way to go back to China.”

We already analyzed gold - and the 5B dollar Chinese scam annually. Let that rest.

Let us talk about cocoa and chocolate. Another modern day slavery.

Nearly 75% of all Cocoa in the world are produced by the Ivory Coast and Gold coast (Ghana) - with supporting role from other west African backwaters.

All of you earn about 5B dollars from cocoa..or less.

Now US, Germany, Belgium, and Swiss - btw themselves - generates about 10 times - 50B dollars from chocolate.

Let not even add other countries.

And the reason is obvious - you are exporting cocoa beans and paste.

While you can easily agree as ECOWAS and ban the export of cocoa beans and paste - and make maybe 50B dollars from chocolate.

The usual Yemi Kale data cooking at the behest of Abuja regime.

A deep dive into the data revealed that a huge component of Nigeria’s non-oil export figures were “re-exports”. The re-export component was 6.2B dollars...so you real exports are merely 4B.

Did you know that re exports account for about 30% of UAE's total trade. It's called trade. Kenya should try it with your strategic position.

Ghana Generate 2.5 billion from cocoa sales and 4 billion from Chocolate and other cocoa products sales.

Ghana is doing 5 million oz of Gold annually (8.5 billion dollars gold bars export) which are all accounted for
2.2 billion dollars goes to the government in taxes and 3.5 billion dollars is spent in Ghana on utilities wages and other stuffs.

Yes - I see you're even re-exporting Aeroplane Parts.I guess they land in Lagos or Abuja for some Juju reinforcement before they are re-exported. DOGGY data

Re-Export data: Nigeria’s re-export data for 2019 was about $6.2 billion, contributing to about 60% of total exports. This was about 4 folds higher than the $1.5 billion reported in 2018 and $280 million reported in 2017. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics provides better insight into the makeup of Nigeria’s re-export and which countries we exported to.

Examples of some of the items re-exported include vessels and floating structures to Ghana for N302 billion, floating and submarine drilling to Cameroon for N65.5 billion etc. Some exported items went to Western countries such as the US, Spain, Argentina etc. For example, Aeroplane Parts and Helicopters were re-exported to Canada and Ghana respectively.
