ASUU is a bunch of lazy and selfish people. All they care for is their salaries, allowances and increasing their retirement age. They pocket/divert research grants given them, and always embark on endless strike actions. The world is racing to combat and end the pandemic brought about by COVID-19, but they are nowhere to be found. Shame on them! 1 Like

With this crop of lecturers that we presently have, tertiary education (particularly in Sciences, Medicine and Engineering etc) is a big waste of time. |

illicit: ASUU can't be singled out on this. They are a true reflection of the Nigerian state. There is something fundamentally wrong with this country. Sometimes I just wonder if there are things other countries envy about us. |

ASUU is still at loggerheads with FG on IPPIS By the time the epidemic is over, they'll reach an agreement and return to the classroom to start teaching theories on Covid. Please, bear with them |

Quinex: I've already borne with them. Their incessant strike action made me spend 6yrs for a 4yrs course. Some lecturers really don't have any business being in classrooms. They are grossly incompetent, lacking in character and just not committed to doing their job. |

edoairways: Which body hasn't severally gone on strike in Nigeria? Are you aware that Nigeria is the only country in the world where the Police has embarked on nationwide strike action? Go ahead and tell me that Ghana has attained steady power supply due to incessant strikes. |
Re: COVID-19: Where Is ASUU And Our Nigerian Scientists? by edoairways: 12:28am On Apr 23, 2020 |
backbone503:The academicians in Ghana fought tooth and nail to make sure their universities attain that level. Are you also aware that just one celebrity made a push in Ghana when their power supply was diminishing?. If she hasn't made show effort Ghana would have experienced similar fate like ours. You said Nigeria is the only country in the world where their police officers went on strike however, there was a strike by police officers in Brazil in the year 2017 |

edoairways: The Police strike in Brazil occurred only in the state of Espirito Santos, North Eastern coast of Brazil. That of Nigeria was nationwide, and none of such has happened anywhere in the world. |

Iamdeagle: Yes, they excel abroad not only because they meet better facilities and work environment, but it is largely due to their changed attitude towards their work. When they get there, they suddenly become workaholics and so dedicated. |

edoairways: And my point was (and still is) that, that was an isolated case, as against the general one that occurred in Nigeria. This country don cast. You (me or anyone)'ll definitely look stupid trying to defend it. |
