I always had easy labour that didn't take more than 30 minutes,my husband was lucky, either he was at work or about to join me in the hospital before I put to bed, smooth labour but my pregnancies were always war,for the first thremester, from one hospital to another,no cooking,no working,he was always the one bathing for me, cooking with some other house chores. Thank God,I'm done.
Awwwww he's so sweet

Posting this as recounted by my mom.

My dad wasn't scared when mom reported the broken waters. He quickly got her to the hospital around 7pm. He was allowed to stay in the Labour room and he did quite well. Trouble started when I couldn't come out via normal delivery and the doctor called my dad and told him mom would have a Caesarean. Man broke down and started crying grin grin ..long story short, CS started and man couldn't stand watching his wife shredded grin He left the theatre and sat outside with his best friend until it was done grin

At about 11:23pm, a 5.1kg, white looking baby with head circumference 37cm was born that night grin

My dad was the happiest person on earth

5.1kg? shocked shocked Please always respect your Mum.

You can beat him but please, don't curse o. I heard from experienced Pastors/Imams/Babalawos that it's very difficult to remove curses laid during labour.

Not yet married but when in labour I'll use that opportunity to deal with him for all his fu*k up and use labour as an excuse cheesy some of my friends do gist me what they did to their husband when they were in labour from beating to causing your papa your mama many that i cannot say here but it's so hilarious cheesy cheesy cheesy

I was in the theater with her. The scary moments are when the first and second layer was opened and when she suffered pre-eclampsia. It was hell for me. Thank God a handsome baby boy was brought out.

Thumbs up to all "responsible" women.

My hubby wasn't around when I delivered of my two children. Reason being that I had to travel home to deliver because I don't have a mother in law anymore and my mom still in service couldn't take permission to come stay over where we reside. The best option was to go meet her at 8months for both pregnancies and I had our family doctor and hospital take over while my hubby stays back cos of work and joins us for their naming ceremonies..
Hopefully he gets to witness my third labor when the time comes smiley
I bless God for your testimony. smiley I'm married and I don't have a child yet but by HIS grace I would have mine too and also pray for a safe delivery too. smiley

Pre-eclampsia before or after delivery?

It was a Caesarean section and her blood pressure was been monitored through the process, it got to a stage the meter started indicating a high blood rate.

This thread is really great... kudos to every mother out there... I was crying like a baby that moment. Cos we have been in hospital since 7am. Doctor waiting to see if she will deliver normally. Not until around after 5 in the evening that we had to make decision to go through CS... I was crying and trembling. But thank I thank God at the end...

grin

Mine was funny. She was just working like a workaholic on that day clearing and cleaning the house. I was home so i supported in the little way i could. So when it was 6:30pm she decided to go to the market to buy loads of food stuffs in our store.

So while dressing she felt uneasy, so she decided to first go to the market , come back and from home go for checkup. .....

We finished from the market and she decided to go straight to the hospital ....

While she took the stairs into the delivery ward for possible check up. I strolled out to relax and wait for her to call me that we should be heading home. How wrong i was.

The next thing shes calling to go get the bags ready that the DELIVERY IS GOING TO BE TODAY!!!

I WAS SHOCKED.

Caught unaware. I felt like telling the nurse can this be so kind of mistake. Check very well it cant be today.

So i hurried home. The atmosphere of my apartment changed. I was scared of lossing my wife. I was not prepared for what am about to face.

Finally i entered the favour room. The scream was lie someone being tortured..

I was doing like a football coach. "Come on baby you can do it. Dont go off on me . Common you can do"

The next thing she stopped looked at me and said. ...."PLEASE STOP TALKING"

I shock. i became useless there. just begging the nurse in a quiet tone. Please do something.

Then it happened after a big push. POP!! she was born.

It was more than winning the world cup. I hugged and carried any nurse in my path. Rolling on the floor like a mad man. My girl.
