My own Dad was not only not there when my mum was in Labor to have me....He was even too occupied to name me...He just told my mum via Letter "call him Junior" grin

So now, I bear all his names with the suffix (Jr) while he now adds (Sr) to his name smiley

He wasn't there not because he didn't want to be there to witness the birth of his only Child....He was absent because he was involved in peacekeeping in Liberia that year...smiley

When he came back two years later, Him and my mum organized a massive Owambe to celebrate my birth....me that I was already walking and a full blown nuisance in the Neighborhood grin...

A big shout out to both my parents...They are the best cool
lol, very funny

I have two children. I always find a way to disappear when wify is pregnant cos i can't stand to see her pain during that period. But will always reappear immediately the baby is born. The story is not palatable to my ears after delivery but I thank God for safe delivery. Please don't ask me how i disappear during that period. If my wife know that i always disappeared on purpose she will kill me. But I always try and make sure that everything she need is available during that period.

Choi! Men! So y'all are lily-livered! Lol.

My respect for my wife grew that day, last year, when I saw what she went through cuz of an act the both of us committed..

Hers started in a bank, where she went to do some transactions so that she would head straight to the hospital and wait for delivery. so when I got the call that my wife was in pains in an Ecobank in Ajah.. I cursed myself, I thought I had failed as a man for letting her go alone while I rush to do some business.

My hands were shaking, I was driving like a mad man.. I got to the bank and was told she had been taken to the hospital.. everyone was touching my shoulder or hand to calm me down.. then the tears started.. One of the security guys had to drive me to the hospital. my sister and my wife's friend was already there.

I didn't even know what to feel, I was about to be a father.. it felt strange tho.

I entered the room and saw her screaming and blowing out hot air.. when she saw me, she kinda calmed down.. I think my presence brought her a little peace.. but that didn't save me from her pulling my shirt and telling me to remind her that I love her.. I was just nodding, saying incoherent things, I was crying and sharing her pains with her. that singular moment bonded us like never before..

Our twin boys came out strong and HIV-free.. our joy knew no bounds that day cuz that was our greatest fear that day.

My hubby wasn't around when I delivered of my two children. Reason being that I had to travel home to deliver because I don't have a mother in law anymore and my mom still in service couldn't take permission to come stay over where we reside. The best option was to go meet her at 8months for both pregnancies and I had our family doctor and hospital take over while my hubby stays back cos of work and joins us for their naming ceremonies..
Hopefully he gets to witness my third labor when the time comes smiley

It's not easy ooh at all untill you are married you will understand.

I took her twice to the hospital from the moment she started to complain and was restless but we're told it's not time yet even our EDD past but still..untill one faithful evening I came back from work and she showed me something like white fluid dropping from her thigh and she couldnt even move a muscle, o boy, na so I rush call my neighbour. Help me move her to the car and the worst part was my headlamp was bad so I don't drive at night, and it started raining heavily..I had to risk it with my trafficator on, she was just crying, only God saved us that night untill we got to the hospital...
So they took her in pulled her cloth, madam was just shouting she wants to pee, she wants to shit.they told her to do it there..she was beating the hell outta me shouting..I saw a different person inside my wife that day...the nurse was just saying saying something centimeter until I heard a burst and here she comes they continue telling her to push till I saw the head coming out menn. It was like a movie, na so pikin just pull out with that thing that looks like a rope...my baby started crying after they turned her upside down and started doing the cleaning. I looked at madam and she was just as calm as nothing happened... I was the happiest man on Earth that day...especially the moment I carried her in my arms..
He say na rope, cheesy cheesy cheesy

It was a Caesarean section and her blood pressure was been monitored through the process, it got to a stage the meter started indicating a high blood rate.

Her previous tests during pregnancy never indicated preeclampsia?
