I just spoke to my fiancé and asked him if he can follow me to the theatre during childbirth by God’s grace, Oga laughed real hard and said “yes”.....me I know he will faint cos he is emotional .Ordinary menstrual cramp use to affect him, see him asking me what I want and what he can send to me to relief me .Till then sha Meanwhile, I wish other pregnant women safe delivery and those believing God for their children to have theirs. Children are lovely, they are precious and are priceless. 30 Likes 1 Share |

Without having a wife I experienced what child delivery was at age 13 . So our housemaid she got pregnant before she came into the house my grandma partially blind and great grandmother completely blind So there was light and about 2AM my grandma woke me up to an unexpected condition of an angry pregnant woman . Oops they said it’s time loud moanings or should I say cries . But there was a nurse 16 streets ahead. They said I’m the only man but do I look like a man? God knows So she started the things I saw in movies hands to the waist only me assisting her then we started walks . She almost gave up and it was almost like young me backing an almost delivered lady from something I can’t tell . So we finally got there and they told me to run home it’s midnight to go carry some supplies . When I came back maybe in 8 minutes all I heard was baby cries . Those moments acts scary to my brain till now and I’m happy I helped 10 Likes |

Labour room dramas dey sweet. My best was a Muslim patient in second stage of labour (pushing phase) who told me to pray for her. It was a mad house that day, both of us were praying.....few moments later, I realized that I can't hear myself cos her voice will reach a CRESCENDO when the contractions rips through her. So I joined her and we were both screaming and shouting la ilaha illalahu while pushing. If I want her to take a deep breath and relax a bit, i will exclaim thank you Lord repeatedly and we will both respond Aminnnnn. . 25minutes later the baby came out and my prayer warrior rested. When she saw me later, we laughed uncontrollably. It wasn't funny in the heat of the action as anything can go wrong. We needed all the helps we can get. 24 Likes 3 Shares |

nikkflexible: I only witnessed my third baby's birth. My wife was in school and writing exams around her EDD for the 1st one. My sister and a lecturer cousin were in the same school too. My wife also had her female 1st cousin as room mate. The plan was to call me and to travel 4hrs to her as soon as she felt a sign. The sign came around 8 pm and that exact time, I was seriously in distress and stranded with a dead fuel pump coming back from my village. So going to her was not even an option. I only got home 2am tired and passed out without the car, she gave birth 3am. I took off around 5am fixed the car around 8am, came back home and picked my mum and started the 4hr journey and arrived 12noon just after my wife wrote her last paper. So she went from labour room to exam hall and then started a 4hr journey back home. The second was also and unfortunate miss. I was away across country on work, took my annual leave, booked a flight 1week before her EDD just so i can be there. I had packed my bags and ready for my 10am flight but she gave birth 2am some 8hrs b4 my flight. So i only made it to take them home. Coincidentally, my ex girlfriend was the Snr Nurse on duty that delivered my child (not funny). My wife is still angry because she expected her to give a VIP treatment but the girl was just dodging her and would show up when she was summoned by others. I witnessed the third which was the record baby that came at 4.3kg. The shout from my wife was just sending shivers through my spine. Women dey try, I swear. They are 8, 6 and almost 2. 25 Likes |

Till today I really wonder where the courage to video her during labor came from... Before the EDD she had requested that she needs it to be recorded so as to appreciate the value of child birth. Mind you, she had this big foreign book for expectant mothers full of descriptive pics to prepare you. I read all in it. A day or two earlier, she had told me of a little blood stain she noticed which her gynecologist said it's a good sign. She didn't have breaking of waters. After delivery, the Doctor told us she and the baby were lucky because the placenta was already old and expired. On the D-day, the hospital nurse told us it was just 3cm in the absence of the Doc. Immediately, the Doctor rushed in and checked, he said it was 7cm. Within 20 minutes she put to bed. But it wasn't without oxytocin and episiotomy. It's 8yrs now ànd the whole episode is still fresh and unforgettable. Even though, we've gone our separate ways, I still respect her for that Herculean role. Women are really strong. 12 Likes |

Stories like this are of joy! My first child came around the time when the controversial topic of Tiwa Savage and her estranged hubby were everywhere. I was in the room with my wife and she was gisting me about the issue and pooh! the water broke... when she told me the water had broken, I thought it was a joke, looked on the floor ; oh boy eh! it was for real! we were upstairs when this happened, quickly changed my clothes & wore a flip flop, while she wore an Abaya. oya! Madam lets go downstairs to the car o, she started telling me she didn't wanna walk because of fear that the baby would pop out to the floor. Haaa! how would i carry two people from first floor to downstairs & to the car. It took all the motivational spirits in me to convinced her to walked the stairs down & to the car. At the hospital, since it was in the US, I was allowed to be in the delivery room with her, gisting the came the moment we had been waiting for...They gave her epidural (like pain reliever) minutes later - the big boy showed up & the doctors gave me the scissors to cut the umbilical cord. All glory to God! Afterwards madam start to dey chop everything like person wey never eat for a whole year; ummmh me to too follow chop like dat sha make I no lie. 29 Likes |

cutewifey: My first experience I went to the hospital to get checked immediately I got the sign of the baby about to come, I told the nurse to prepare me that I am read. She fix me up on a very high bed, I was set, I told the nurse to come check that the baby is coming but the nurse was not fully prepared. She was telling me to wait, at that process my baby rushed out with forse the nurse catch the baby from a far distance. I thank God my baby didn't fell off from her hands due to excess slippery substance. My second delivery I decided not to go to the hospital, I was fully prepared, so when it was time I do the delivery myself clean up myself and my baby, then call my hubby, family and next flat neighbors. 8 Likes 1 Share |
