radautoworks: One thing I learn in life , if you can't handle little challenges ,how can u handle bigger ones... one thing I observe in Nigeria business environment, people tend to start a business, and if the business does not work out. They move to another business, and the circles continue all over again... I wish the young man the best. ... And one thing I learn from those haulage drivers, they are very ,very and very fetish .. But if you tell the young man that , He will say he is covered with the Blood Of Jesus.... Well what do I know... 2 Likes 1 Share |

Sir, I like you. You are talking from experience And that risk part, u are very right. Anyone who fears failure cannot succeed as far as business is concerned, Learn to fail early, understand quickly and do what you want to do. There are no shortcut. Of course u have to pray and Trust God for favor so nothing unexpected happens like this coronavirus that has taken lots of people livelyhood away. This month i still get paid from my PMS business. I mean paid in full in this coronavirus era. I wanted to go into distributorship business or haulage to two years ago, I got discouraged from haulage( or the information I had was not encouraging) then I went into PMS business I couldn't get the right product for distributorship so I challked it off. Though I got the right information on the part that driver's can ruin your business and other info(even the person I was making enquires from who is a driver into distributorship is not honest.person when dealing with money) but I was going into it to do full time managing and modify my business operations. On to another business, It's either of haulage, transport or farming (or an outside chance of exporting naija made clothes and fabrics)that I am heading towards. Of course with a modification to suit the percularity of naija environment in the case of transportation. No rush but u have to look at time too so that changes in business environment don't alter your projections or profit. If I have spare time, I can link up with you just to know more about the haulage. I ain't afraid at all but I am cautious and ruthless when taking decisions. See if I have to sleep in "face me I slap u house " or to learn how to drive a haulage truck just to get over the line I don't mind one bit, There's no big man mentality , it's about achieving a goal. Good luck sir ofime123: 5 Likes |

Sir, if he did his findings well, He will understand that buying a naija used truck is a no no. I like the way you are asking him to be cautious, U have even given him some info already. Lush100: Thanks bro.. He thinks am discouraging him , my point is if he can't successfully manager uber cars or uber drivers, how do u think he will do well with truck drivers... You see madness gets different level .. Truck drivers madness is above madness, because you dealing with stack illiterates and fetish people, during my experience I was told some truck owners do fetish things to protect themselves from fetish drivers.. It is very common in the haulage business.. Me I no fit do am ....but I wish him the best ...... |

ofime123: Do it yourself you will be successful, however make sure your learn the trade before jumping in. Interact more often with drivers that own and drive their own truck, That way you will get a refined understand of the pros and cons. Lastly make sure u buy a healthy truck and not those truck built in the late 70ties. Make sure your break systems are very effective because na for only Nigerian I dey hear say trailer fail break kill okada driver. 1 Like |

Me as I dey now if I open a big business today I go like start from the scratch to study people who work for me like the cleaner or something.... You get first hand info of all the corners in your company and you form the decision for the top management.... About the driver thing he has to work with Dem very well before he can actually decide to hire one, that was why I gave the opinion of motor boy, cuz when you follow driver on tour you will understand how they reason and the lies involved... 1 Like |

ofime123: Please go ahead bro. I tried not to comment but I love your spirit. If the business is not good we won't be seeing thousands of trucks coming to Lagos every day. Ehailing is no more lucrative yet I still see people buying cars to give out on hp and drivers asking for cars to drive. Lagos don full with Coro boys yet some drivers still boast of 25k net everyday. I don't believe because 10 people failed in a business means everyone will fail in it. 1 Like |

radautoworks: Madam come and help, NCDC needs your expertise. My concern is dt what is happening in New York might repeat itself in Lagos. ( the poor dying more of corona virus than the rich if it gets to d poor community) why Because the poor believes it's rich man disease and that the number published by NCDC is audio numbers because politicians wants to eat money And then they roam around the street playing about this virus. My fear is that if it hits d poor in this our Nigeria, you will soon start hearing there is no more bed space , there is VIP bed somewhere which d poor won't have access because man know man or politicians go done put their people. We've not tested 10,000 people and IDH yaba don full. My prayer is dt lockdown shouldn't get to June |

ofime123: Thought someone said false earlier!! Wonder why people will just make assertions without proper knowledge, isn't that bare faced lieing? The person that told me about the 800k for trucks isn't even a truck owner but someone who hires trucks almost every week cos he is freight forwarder and we weren't even talking about investing in haulage business,we were just having casual gist about what's happening at the ports and the challenges they are facing including the massive corruption in that place. Bros!! About your haulage matter, all I gotta say is plan well and understand the terrain well then commit it to God. There isn't any business without risk!! |

Bros I didn't bother to invest in Uber business I only drove the Uber my self. If I want to invest 3or4 cars on Uber I can do u. Like I said I just don't like the way the price are determine by Uber and bolt. They make u believe that you are your own boss. But deep within u are working for them. Because if you are truly your own boss or partner like they claim. Partner should also be able to determine price. So don't make it look like I invested in Uber and wasn't suscesful. And why will I give my self headache of managing 4 drivers when I can just managing one truck driver. I can go the extra miles when it comes to business if I have driven danfo b4 what makes u think I can be motor boy on my truck for at lease 6month. So think about it. dru23: |

pope191: Boss the lockdown will continue till May ending its obvious. My prayer is that it won't pass May. Even Trump is struggling to open U.S by May 1, and New York Governor says it's a big dream. Look at the result of Lagos and Kano after testing 8000 people in Nigeria. If they can do 20,000 test and the numbers doesn't increase then we can start. 1 Like |
