I wrote to University of Sunderland for English test waiver. I was told that it can only be waived if my institution in Nigeria can provide proof that I was taught in English. I told them that I’ll get it after lockdown and they agreed. Contact your school
was this after you paid the 3400 that they asked you for the proof of English also can I send you an email so we can talk on WhatsApp?

In my opinion, I think you should first calm down. There's no need to be in a rush with this, if God says you will go to the UK, and you will become a Nurse, then it will happen.

Now, some schools require that the SSCE or any previous degree you will be using for an admission should be within the last 5 years, so just prepare your mind to either sit for another SSCE, or study very hard and write another IELTS.

Nothing is too difficult, all that matters is your determination.

Firstly, apply to different Universities, get their requirements, see if you meet up, and if you don't my darling, you can write another IELTS and YOU CAN PASS!

Just get your mind prepared, plan yourself well, and you will get there.
. Thanks so much for your advise,I really appreciate.

Why do you want to send what has not been asked of you?

12,000 pounds for year one.

50% to get CAS. How about the remaining 50%?

My dear,I don't want to take chances. I just want to include every necessary document I have in order for me to have an edge.In terms remaining 50%,I clearly know that I must have it with my maintenance in my account for 28days according to the requirement by the Embassy.

That over-do May end up being your Achilles heel.

Give them what they asked for.

Honestly I no go lie, I feel very sorry for you. Maybe few years ago, you won’t have any issue at all. But now that they know Nigerians are trying to run out by all means because of 2 years visa, it will be very hard for you walahi. Firstly sef your ielts score is not up 6 and secondly since 2010, you did not enrol even in online course or something to keep your academics up to date (Since you dropped out previously). They will be wondering why you want to do nursing all of a sudden in the U.K. when you can do it very cheap in Nigeria or cheap european countries. Except you have good relevant experience in nursing , your chances are low. U.K. sef don dey wise. My friend that studied in U.K. & replied for another masters got rejected by all the universities saying he cannot do another Msc in U.K.. then the other one got rejected because he went and uploaded that Canada denied him study permit. Now U.K. is being strict unlike before where you apply today and you leave the next day. You can try your luck sha when you go for interview and see. It will be better if you can do nursing in Nigeria , get certified & go to the U.K. under tier2 visa because they’re always in need of nurses for their NHS. Anyhow you do, all the best.
. Thanks for your concern bros.Meanwhile, since I drop out from university I attended computer class for 2years.After the program,I work as a trainee in a Phamarciticule Store for 5yrs,then I later went for nurse Apprentice in a Hospital where am assisting nurses in some duty till now.so,am not idle since I drop out from university. However, I planned to collect reference letter from the two places to use it as one my supporting document during my visa application, because I noticed that I have to explain my educational gap to UK embassy. pls collect me if am wrong.

Then go through the requirements for Leeds Beckett, and start your admission processing.

I want to assume that the expression of pessimism in your reaction to the chances of @pretty1986 getting a Tier 4 visa is as a result of not having adequate information regarding her situation but thank God she has provided same above and that should probably change your position in the matter.

Regarding your first friend that wasn't given admission for a second masters, I believe that he wasn't given an offer by any of the universities he applied to because he didn't have justification for the 2nd master's. I mean what's the correlation and dissociation between the three degrees (first degree, currently held master's and intended master's), what occupation is he doing at the moment and what does he want to do in nearest future?

As per the one who claimed to have been denied because he stated that Canada previously denied him a study permit, there is more to the story than that which meets the eyes. There are quite a number of testimonies on tier 4 visa application successes even on this thread despite previous denials from up to 2/3 countries.

Yes, UKVI has stepped up but if you follow the right procedure and meet the stated requirements, you'd be fine.

I haven’t paid my deposit yet. I sent an email to the institution (after they requested for IELTS test result in my conditional offer) that I was taught in English and i still have a valid IELTS General test result, my waec and neco certificates.

They responded and said they can’t accept IELTS General & my waec certificate is old. But what they can do is, if I can get proof from my school that I was taught in English, IELTS will be waived.

Its stated on the school website the (course). For instance Journalism has two accredited bodies BJTC and NCTJ. These two bodies are very important if you want to work with any media outlet in UK. Some schools have both accreditions some just one accredition.

You can google them and also check for schools that have accredited courses with them. If you go to a school that is not accredited you will have to pay for their exams (NCTJ or BJTC) as an individual.

But other media courses media production( television production and film production) they don't have accredited bodies at moment.

Public Relation accredited body is CIM.

Those are the ones I know.

NCTJ - National Council for the Training of Journalist

BJTC - Broadcast Journalism Training Council

CIM - Chartered Institute of Marketing

This would have been ur best option as it’s way cheaper in Nigeria but ur not guaranteed to finish in 4 years except u attend a private uni

Another option is to try foundation program, approach universities and make enquiry to see if they can take you on

Otherwise, do another IETLS and write a befitting personal statement to improve ur chances

All the best and please don’t give up

[quote author=pretty1986 post=88783002]. Thanks for your response. Bro , why don’t you relax on the passive-aggressiveness. If you have nothing better to say, no need to comment. Just earlier on, you were discouraging someone talking about his age and his choice of profession. If you really want to help, just give your two cents and move on. . . No need for unnecessary sarcasm.
