A female police officer dispensing her duty at market junction, Eneka Round About, Obio Akpor Porharcourt has been killed by the Rivers State Task Force.

The life of a female police officer and mother of a four months old baby was brought to an end today at the popular 1st. Market junction at Eneka, Obio-Akpor,Port Harcourt while the lady was in active service.

This is one dead to many,reports has it that the lady was discharging her lawful duties while the Hilux of the men of Rivers State Task Force on Road Decongestion and Illegal Trading drove into the scene with arms alongside with some police attached to them.

While the petty traders scampered for safety,a police officer attached to Taskforce team pulled the trigger which resulted to the instant dead of the female police officer.

The Hilux belonging to the Taskforce Team have been towed down to Eneka police station at the moment.

DEATH OF A WOMAN SERGEANT
The Rivers State Police Command regrets to announce the death of W/Sgt Lovender Elekwachi who until her untimely death was serving at Eneka Division and was posted to the Eneka roundabout on traffic duties.

The late Woman Sergeant was shot while controlling traffic by Sergeant Bitrus Osaiah attached to the Operations Department of the Command.

Meanwhile, the Sergeant who is said to be attached to the Rivers State Task Force on Decongestion, has been arrested, disarmed and undergoing Orderly Room Trial.

Two other members of the Task Force have also been arrested and are being questioned. The Hilux vehicle belonging to the Task Force has been impounded and the corpse of the Woman Sergeant deposited in the mortuary.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph G. Mukan, psc (+) has ordered investigation into the matter with a view to unraveling the circumstances that led to her death and has appealed for calm, pending the outcome of the investigation, promising that the interest of justice must be served in the circumstance.

RIP to deceased, they should disarm all police except those going for a combat role. Sometimes these female officers have zero empathy. It was a female officer that ruptured the penis of that mechanic guy in mile 1 police station
