also don't forget that Nigeria is one of the most diverse countries on the continent when talking about different ethnic groups. The only other country that comes close is DRC and we all know how they are. Even homogeneous countries like those in North Africa have experienced conflict at one time or the other so our situation is not such a surprise. I'm optimistic that one day Nigeria's political business and economical elite it's in our common interest to get things right. You might say it's the crude oil that has held us together which is true to some extent but there are other factors in which we have a commonality that doesn't get exploited to the fullest.

For SA, AIDS couldnt come at a worse time. In the 80s, when AIDS arose, they were busy fighting apartheid and the apartheid govt couldnt care less about a nigger disease. They may also have introduced it there intentionally to boost their war on niggers.
