Reference to Pulp Fiction (1994). L Jackson also did the voice acting for the character, so it was madly original.

Nocturnal Animals - 7.5/10
Sheesh. Had this movie for years and never thought to watch it. Now that I did, I wish I hadn't. Wonderful performances from Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams. Always knew somehow Hollywood would find a way to put Amy and Isla Fischer in the same movie and I thank God it was done meaningfully.

Very beautiful CG imagery. Plot was rather basic. I don't think any of the actors were trying too hard. Some lines were a bit cringe, though.
Now we've seen Dark Fey, I want to see Light Fey too.

Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw 7.5/10

This movie was slated to be an adrenaline-pumping, action movie and boy, did it deliver. I'll be rewatching a lot of the sick stunts for a long time.
Plot was simple, if not a bit ridiculous towards the end. But we don't watch action movies for the plot.
Decent acting from most of the cast, especially Doris Elba, unsurprisingly. Vanessa Kirby proved to be more than just a pretty face. Girl can kick ads, too. Hope she gets to show off a few moves in the upcoming Mission Impossible movie. The chemistry between Dwayne and Jason was dope and helped make their character relationships believable.
The cameo appearances were also enjoyable and some were actually unexpected. Anyways, how my boy Roman Reigns in this movie for 10 minutes and not say a single word?

By the way, nice reference to The Italian Job.

Such a patriot does not deserve what he has been dealt.
