HOW ARE GOOGLE,FACEBOOK,etc make their money or profits from us? since we the consumers bought our respective Data(mb,gb)etc from our respective service providers like MTN,AITEL,GLO,9mobile etc or did they had any partner ship among the two(2) parties? and how are Google, Facebook, convert that data(mb,gb) to money,since they are not the original owner of that data? pls don't mind my language, I just need someone to pls clear my doubt. thankz

If you have a Facebook page and make a post on your timelines, less than 15% fans get to read it on their timelines , other will have to visit your page directly, if you want instant appearing, then you have to promote

Through advertising and selling of users data's like emails etc.. They have no business with your data plan or wifi..

The wifi is from another telecom service providers majorly unknown. Your company must have paid for monthly unlimited data..

People actually don't know that internet network providers are cheating us cos the data they are selling are expensive..

if you registered an email account like Yahoo for example and they ask for your number for verification, receiving those sms are not free they must have deducted the fee from your bundles.

They also make reasonable money from selling email leads ( email address and data ( Personal details.. That's also expensive.. . You might have come across " We accept cookies" message when opening a website, they are simply telling you that your information will be stored on their website for research purposes ( Selling)

Some websites sell just 1 email leads as low as $5

I am simply telling you that not all are sponsored ads. Some are simply publications that best match what one is searching for as per word for word.

Think about this. How does your local radio station makes money from you the listener? Answer is they don't. They make money from those who have a product, service, idea, propaganda, etc to advertise to these listeners.

Google and Co have nothing to do with your subscription data plan. They make money from all those firms and organizations trying to advertise to you. This is really huge money. In 2019, Google ad revenue was around $135 billion.

Then try to sell your products to the public and see how much dey will charge u per day for sponsor ad.

Guy, businesses are spending alot of money to advertise on those platforms. Since I started digital marketing...I have spent over a million advertising for my self and other businesses on Facebook.

I know those ones are to be ads but the one that do bothers me is WHATSAPP. After all I've never their ads.

Advertising is the primary source of profits for both companies.
