Kalaba: eight years ago I was running my pre-degree program when the school suddenly announced the post utme screening. 2/3 days notice. before then I have exchanged contacts and 2go username with many of the applicants here on nairaland, which I was helping with informations. due to the short notice, some of them pleaded to send me the money so I can help them get the form, others where begging I get the form that when they come they will pay me. I got the form for 5 different candidates (2 ladies and 3 guys), I will name one of the guys Samson (not real name) arrived that Friday evening from warri, I gave him the form and collected my #1500, he asked to sleep over in my hostel, I declined cos I didn't inform my roommates about that. he said ok that he has a cousin in the school he stays off k, so he went to stay with them. two days later (Sunday), he visited me in the hostel, we chatted, then guy started playing me tape of how he came back from the screening on Saturday and could not find his wallet and that his cousin and friends stole his money and smoked with ladies bla bla bla, that he's broke and have not eaten anything since Saturday night, that I should lend him 5k to go back to warri. I felt really bad and blamed myself not accommodating him. so we walked down to GTBank gwagwalada, I withdrew 7k, gave him 5k and put 2k in my pocket, guy was like Chelcy if you can make it 7k, so I won't be stranded on the way, I just kukuma give am the remaining 2k. Monday night Samson (not real name) called me that he's in warri now, that his mum and sisters are grateful, that first thing 2moro morning I will get my money, that I should send my account no. that was the last time I had from him. all his contacts stop going through, he no longer login to Facebook and 2go. this was around June 2012 or so. fast forward to November when I was about ending my program, Samson logged in to 2go and sent me another story offline, of how EFFC was chasing him up and down, and he has been in hiding all the while, that he has not forgotten about my money. fast forward to 2014, I came down from shuttle bus and saw a familiar face, but he's now looking rough and dirty, I imediately recalled his name, we greeted and I congratulated him for securing admission into the school and wanted to go when Bros started another story that he hasn't eaten, and have been denied writing tests cos of departmental fees, that I should forget about what happened the other time and help him out. to cut the long story short, I told him I wasn't having any money and then went my way.
sterlingbrown: Mine happend way back , i was at the market to get a shoe for my secondary school graduation party. When i arrived at the market and picked a shoe from the shelf of one the traders, we talked about price and i paid him. I told him to package it for me. Aboki now said. "Bros, i know you like this shoe, but the thing be say e get some pin and wey dem dey put for the shoe we no go make am spoil sharp, sharp. I said he shouldnt bother but he insisted and said bros this shoe need this pin o. So i gave in and handed the shoes to him because i really liked the shoe. After hitting the pin so hard on the shoes to a point that when one tries to take them off, na tear the shoe go tear. Aboki now old me one pin cost 250, and he fixed in 14 pins.which cost about 3500. I asked him "oga no be free you put am? He said "free for where?" immediately i got angry and wanted to to start a fight. Before i could say another word ,like five guys dey my back with cigratte. I had to calm down and settle the issue like i was at fault. Las las i paid another 3500. Three years later i was at the same market and wanted to get another shoe, but from a different trader. After paying for the shoe, this aboki wanted to start up the same conversation that cost me 3500 3 years ago. Omor that day i quote bible for mind oo.i was like " affliction shall not rise the second time".....I told the aboki that i dont want.he insisted ,this man was literally dragging this shoe with me o, shoe that i have paid for. Before i know one agbero don come they follow me talk with vex say i really need the pin. I said oga i no want. The shoe slipped from his hand and i japa!!!!!
those shoe sellers at owerri also do dz same thing. but most times, da pin guy is seated around to make it look like he's not part of their team. if u ain't smart, he'll grab da shoe(like he's admiring it) from u immediately u pay for it, he'll try to be very fast in talking while he puts da 1st pin without giving u any chance to negotiate da price of da pins. and da shoe seller will support him

nwanyiugbo122: cant forget year 2011 when I was still in school, see me fending for myself and my siblings after my mum died a mysterious death and my dad ran away. someone referred me to one prophet who can tell who killed my mum. I had only 2k with me,as I reached there,he was just doing guess work and asking names of some of my relatives, which I thought he would have mentioned their names without me telling him. at the end of the day,he said I should sow a seed for God's spirit to minister more to him,I gave 500,he said is small I said I had no money, he said God's spirit won't be happy with me if I have money and denied it, I said ok,I had just 1500 remaining to transport me home, he said I should bring everything and watch God perform wonder on my way. that's how I gave everything in my purse,he reschedule the appointments with other things I should buy. that's how I trekked a distance a bike can take 400,on a normal day. I cried and cursed this man. I got home with pains, I had to buy pains relief drugs. since that day,I don't believe any si called man of God.
Dont mind me, their is dis quote that says ori to ba maa je iko ni meaning(head wey go chop knock go definitely chop am). Was on a telegram group and their was buying and selling unknowingly to me dah dey r scam. Use to feel buying from hand to hand kinda fast thou. Buh then I'm on top of d matter. Reason y I wouldn't wanna disclose d account no yet...
Madam I am not wicked, I never could have been! How am I going to confess what even me sef no ft explain and besides I compensated this woman in a way she least expected.
Some guy made a post seeking financial assistance,I responded but dude turned out to be a fraud. Someone somehow erroneously fingered me as an accomplice.
Shit escalated quickly and got outta control. I had to go to the bank to print out my statement and post online, some people came out to vouch for me, some couldn't stop throwing stones. It was a harrowing experience.
That won't stop me from helping anyone though, as long as I have something to spare.
I still remember that thread till today. Thank God you cleared your name cos seeing your moniker will make me remember you were called a scammer.

There was a guy selling goods online, he advised me on how lucrative the business was and told me I will be ordering shoes from China and resell at a great price here. He told me a site and said he will be the one to do the process.
To cut it short, I gave him 30k for 8 shoes, this guy say them don lockdown and hin don send money before them lockdown. I dey wait small time before i go arrest am.
Tell the guy to give you the address of the site,the date he did the transaction and other details, then you run a check on your own before involving the police
I got that through connections... Anytime you see someone working in a hotel, try and get close. Each time there is a vacancy they are the first to know.

Jessie21: Someone from binomo investment company hacked my IG account. At first, the person asked if I've heard of binomo investment and I said yes but I have no money to start so they said they will send me 40k but I will have to follow their instructions then I replied okay..
The person later asked for my Instagram login details and the code sent to my Gmail which I gave to them.
In my mind I thought they needed that information to confirm that their money wouldn't be stolen that was why I gave out those vital information so as to start the investment.
Few minutes later,I saw that my email, password and mobile number has been changed and now I can't access my Instagram account.
