The CEO was a member of the trio that managed Oando, still a founding shareholder of Ocean and Oil the parent company of Oando

Can anything good ever come from Ocean and Oil?

Interesting. An apple never falls far from the tree.
Now I know better.
For these type of companies, even when they post a good result, don't rush to buy, wait for several days, cause they may later recall the result, or adjust dividend in the name of correcting a typographical error..... grin

But Fidelity bank adjusted their dividend declaration 2 years ago

Thank God Fidelity has repented this year.....though until I see their dividend alert before I will believe them

At this stage I am watching videos on technical analysis and chart patterns. I am not much of a trader but I think there is a lot of value in understanding how traders think. Lots of free stuff in youtube and there are also many free written material on the web.

Let's see how it goes.

Guys big on TA seems to like to trading more. I also figured one can be a trader and a long/medium termer at the same time. It's about your temperament and taking opportunities thrown by the market. One day I will explain
how trading and investing can go side by side.
Knowing your strategy is important but evolving and fine tuning one's strategy is more important.

Good to know you are taking steps to get better.

It seems the same CEO attitude of Oando is entering UACN...JIJO masters may benefit now.

As long term investor, until I see good results and reduced overwhelming operating cause and sharing of money among themselves. ......I will continue to observe UACN management from a distance.

Better good stocks de market at bargain prices now

I need to change my moniker.
I have engaged in an e-fight with it once. Now imagine I need to reach out to someone like Pa Ewumi or Oga Wanaj0. I would be viewed with one kain eye. Or I need to work with anyone of you on a project. E go hard o.
Folks I would like to rest this moniker, and get a new one.
I need to create a more positive online image for myself. Things don dey set, so I need to rebrand.
FYI, I will never refer to this old moniker again.
Rebranding cool

Got some books, still reading and watching videos like you said... Quite informative and interesting...

One of my biggest painpoints was not knowing when to exit a position. I pat my self on the back for rights picks but somehow I hold on for too long and it goes up and drops right back. Case in point I exited the market late in 2018 even though I had stocks that did quite well and I got at near bottom prices.

That is changing though.

Because that's compound interest at work. Your interest/dividend is now earning interest/dividend. Buffet calls it the 8th wonder of the world.

Be yourself. Authenticity is key. If nobody has judged and condemned you then don't do it to yourself. Everybody is allowed an "off-day" once in a while.

I don't get why Dan cement will go to seek money from the bond Market when they have plenty retained earnings which some oga call oxygen.

The oxygen keeps the company alive.......and make more oxygen from the low bond offer the company is offering the public

Bond market yields are better (low) for manufacturing sector because the yield is very low and there is high liquidity chasing the bond Market now.

I am not a prophet, it is better to buy in tranches.

If this lockdown goes beyond ordinary, I see people selling some of their stocks in order to be liquid. Which might make stocks to become cheaper

Yours truly redeemed some of my money market funds in order to have cash to spend and invest

Spotting a good stock is not that difficult(just some fundamentals needed),but making money from a good stock is the ultimate(thats where some technicals/gut analysis is needed)
Even the average trader/investor can make a list 15 good stocks on NSE, but that does not mean he/she would eventually make money from these stocks.ENTRY POINT AND EXIT POINT determines this and thats where technicals come in.

Investors always see the future and are forward thinking.

Whether you invest in the stock market, real estate, money market, bonds etc, or combination of different investments or asset classes the essence is to secure a comfortable future and retirement

Any stocks that I invest that gives me so much concerned is sold quikly.
