12 years but it feels like yesterday everytime.

I lost my nephew Emanuel which is 5years old on the 25th of October 2019,he died in the car when being rushed down to the hospital for emergency,i was in the car with him carrying him,i saw how his eye balls changed...I wept on controllably. He died in my hands...I am still not myself anytime I think of that moment..Emaboy which is fondly being called(smiles),I still miss him so much..sleep well my sweet nephew,i know you are with God,uncle missed u

The worse of it was that i saw when life was slipping away from my mom that very day, she was crying, she asked me to touch her legs to know if she can still feel it..... I almost died that day so she could live, other patients were praying so she could live because they said they haven't seen a bond between a mother and daughter like that before ... Finally, slipped away from her...


It's been 18 months now and i have refused to move on. Every 19th of each month, i completely shut off from the world so i can mourn her, i still want to have a moment with her to tell her everything that has happened since she left

My dear,you just have to move on. I guess we are in the same shoe,it's been 19 months that I lost my caring mum and I can tell you that it has never been easy but I just have to move on. I only console myself with the fact that we all are going to die one day either we like it or not so move on and make your living meaningful because we all have a little time to spend on earth.

I called my dad on the 24th of december to send him his monthly stipend but he said he does not really need the money now.He started praying for me and my siblings.I sent the money to his account because it was meant for him.The next morning on of his tenant called to say my dad is dead....I hope my heart can healed completely because he is so caring and loving.

What a topic! Can't forget the murder of my Mum in Jan 26th 2016 by unknown people. Till this moment, I have and cannot forget her. Keeps refreshing in my memories by the day. May her Soul keep resting. She did not enjoy her investment in my life.

This is a wonderful thread, it makes us realize that life is not just about bling bling and rosy stuffs.

November 2008 I will never forget till I die.
I lost my beautiful Elder sister.
I'm not saying this because she's my sister.
She is an epitome of beauty.
That year was the painful and saddest year for my entire family. Her death really shattered my family. It was the greatest shock ever.
My family is yet to recover my sister's demise.
I wish I have the power to bring her back to life.
May the beautiful soul of Vivian Chinelo Ibeawuchi through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen

That was my maternal cousin in 2019. We went to the same prestigious but very expensive catholic school where his father struggled to train him there.

The family wasn't doing well but the father was bent on training his children with little assistance from my father and my mother.

We finished university and search for a decent employment was a struggle for him.

Sadly, his father died without seeing the fruits of his labour as all his children he laboured to train were all struggling to find their feet.

Later, my cousin got a job in an engineering construction company and within 4 years rose through the ranks as the owner of the construction firm placed so much trust in him.

Later, he was able to complete a beautiful mansion in the village and bought the latest toyota spider, thanks also to the generosity of the owner of the company where he worked.

Two months after his house opening and dedication, he developed a strange illness that nobody could fathom.

When I called him over the phone while on his sick bed, he told me, " naa, this people almost killed me, but thank God, I am making a recovery. Let's hook up when I come to Lag as I would be in Lagos to meet some turkish contractors on behalf my oga".

That was the last discussion and in the evening of that same day, my sister called me to tell me that Noble is dead. I almost passed out.

Just like that and all the dreams vanished. May God rest his soul.

I lost a classmate and friend in 1998, my aunt, my dad and a good friend of mine in 2019.

Damn, their deaths really broke my heart, I think of my dad almost daily. And sometimes I wish I could see them again.

Yes. Mine was our principal in high school. I was a very stubborn boy then and also a truant.I even had my cliq of truants and naughty students. One day,I broke into the Exams office to steal exam papers for me and my guys(like we always do without getting caught) not knowing that the principal laid a trap for us there.Luckily for them and unluckily for me, I was caught. I stood dumbfounded,staring at him for minutes.He asked me to sit and told me how closely he has been watching me for long. He said he wont punish me or tell my parents if i give up my bad life and cliq. Well,that was the start of our friendship. He was an Anglican Canon,married with no male child.He took me as his son and errand boy,even became friends with my Dad. He was the reason why i can read and comprehend,passed my WAEC,NECO&JAMB and got Uni admission.He was my mentor,friend,inspiration&spiritual director.He died just before my matric after a long battle with cancer.I still see him when i close my eyes I MISS U Ven.Canon Dennis. RIP

My mum two years now and my Sister whose wedding was supposed to be this Easter , everything remind me of her and I still cry.

I can't forget when i lost my mum on Saturday the 6th of November, 2010. She had been sick for a while and earlier that morning we decided to take her to the hospital after complaining of pains. Before entering the car, she held my hands so tightly little did i know she was saying goodbye....i so much wept when i came into the hospital and saw my elder brother crying as my dear mother was gone....Mummy my heart hasn't healed till now for i miss you so much and i wish you were with me...LOVE YOU FOREVER

My two brothers died within the space of one year. The first one which is our first born died of heart related issues, was with him in the hospital for one month, he was discharged and three months after, he gave up the ghost.

Then our last born, had a dream about him that we were mourning him, I prayed about it, got family members involved in the prayers but three months after, he was having lunch/break time at work, and he choked on the meat in his mouth, rushed to the hospital but was too late.

I've always cried each time I remember the memories of the two of them. cant take them off my mind. Continue to rest in peace my lovely brothers.

My wife 2014
She can't be replaced

July 18th 2019,the day my world came crashing. We left home together my wife,my son and I.My wife and I exercised at the gymnasium that morning,then she left.They travelled for an official assignment on their way back that same day. They were involved in an accident. She died on the spot.
