Nigeria is a mechanism modelled to look like a country. However, the mechanism failed its test run since 1967.

Sweden and Ghana are countries forget about Nigeria. Nigerians are too stubborn to adhere to any directive
forget about Nigeria. Nigerians are stubborn to take directives.

I agree with this.. That is why lockdown and social distancing will not work here.. Let us develop what will work

Let it not look like I'm pessimistic.

The same Nigerians screaming for the removal of the lockdown will enforce it on themselves when shiit hits the fan
I once said we locked down to early, we should have waited until 5,000 people died first.

When everyone knows a friend, colleague, neighbor or family member that died, they want enforce anything. They will beg for a lockdown or social distancing.

I wonder who begged Italy and Spain in the end

I stand AGAINST lockdown.
It can't work in Nigeria, Nigerians are poor, the government can't feed us, we can't stay indoors with an empty stomach.
people clamouring for lockdown are either the rich/comfortable ones or civil servants.

No lockdown.
My side has been tight. Kaduna. We only go out Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 am to 6 pm.
To restock.
Please I'm very broke and almost running out of essentials. Please anyone in Kaduna can hit me up. I'm willing to work for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I don't mind if I can't get an extension of days. I really need funds for sustainability as I'm here alone far from home. I can do anything legal, please.

Zero 8 zero 3 two seventy 82 45. Thanks

The lockdown was a joke, people didn't adhered to it... the government should relax it and let natural selections run it course.

You are comparing Nigeria to Sweden?

Sweden's economy is far better than ours. Their leaders are not as clueless as most of ours. Sweden had a better healthcare than Nigeria. They probably have equipped hospitals and better response to emergencies. They probably have conducted more tests than Nigeria, and are not corrupt. Above all, if they call for a lockdown, their citizens will most probably not flout the order

This is the country you are comparing with Nigeria?
The lock down itself is a copy and paste idea from the Western world and it didn't work.

Lagos has moved from 66 cases within the lock down period to 600 + cases in four weeks with more cases waiting to be reported.

Coronavirus has moved from only 4 states to 27 states of the federation.

Majority of the African countries that paniced and copied the western world approach initially have now seen reasons to change their approach to accommodate their own realities.

Ghana, South Africa, Algeria etc amongst others.

Nigeria doesnt have a large food bank so they should gradually ease the lockdown if citizens can follow WHO guidelines on prevention

For me, I still support the LOCKDOWN for the next one month

Let us sacrifice this little time and see the curve flatten to a reasonable extent.

Nigerians sef are not helping. Stay at home, everyone is screaming hunger (which is true). But isn't it better to feel hunger, than see your loved ones die because of something without cure?

Face masks can be enforced, but it's difficult for Social distancing to be. From markets, to banks, to busstops, to churches, to everywhere....Only walking along Idumota or Obalende sef na wahala

If this lockdown is lifted, na God hand we dey. NCDC are already overburdened despite thelockdown. Imagine when it's lifted

This is a very big risk to be taken on Monday. God will see us through

You can embark on your own personal lockdown. Nobody is stopping you.

embarassed

THIS LOCK-DOWN SHOULD BE SUSPENDED BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT SEEN THE POSITIVE EFFECTS OF IT.
-THE ECONOMY IS SUFFERING.
-PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY.
-CRIME RATE IS ON THE INCREASE.
-NO CASH PALLIATIVES
-FOOD PALLIATIVES ARE INSULTING & DEMEANING to NIGERIANS(Obasa bread, expired rice, 1wrap of Amala+soup)
-POLITICIANS LOOTING MONIES & BURNING OFFICES IN ABJ
-NCDC INFLATING FIGURES OF COVID19 PATIENTS WITHOUT CONCRETE EVIDENCE JUST TO STAY & REMAIN RELEVANT.
-BILLIONS OF NAIRA DONATED BY EU, AU & OTHER BODIES VANISHED INTO THIN AIR.
-NO PROPER TESTING & LACK OF VENTILATORS IN HOSPITALS.

ON THIS NOTE I CONCLUDE BY ASKING YOU TO NAME A FRIEND/BROTHER/SISTER/MOTHER/FATHER/UNCLE/AUNTY YOU KNOW WHO HAS DIED OF COVID19 IN NIGERIA SINCE LAST MONTH?
I LEAVE YOU WITH THE ANSWER.

so those who don't have means of feeding and no palliative should die .govt should first take responsibility give people what they want .and they will stay at home .you asked people to stay home they comply but you shouldn't expect it to be for a longer period if you are not feeding them. If you have food in your own house there are some who don't have.

No lockdown. The lockdown is effective in knocking down d nation economy. People still move around and even travel. So what's d essence.
Soon, people will b out of jobs, crime will increase, state and federal government will loose revenue (IGR) couple with crashed crude oil price, states will start owing salaries, people will start taking laws into their hands since govt become unreliable, uprising and government may finally collapse.
Some aggrieved soldiers in sambisa forest will just plan a coup and topple Buhari government. The people will hail them as the liberators.that's d end.

I don't understand what you mean!

Lock down is not a solution in its self!

It's testing and quickly isolating Coronavirus patients to be treated that is most important.

Your country only tested 10,000 people in the four weeks lock down period, while the rest of African countries did nearly 8 to 12 times of that number in the same period and are ready to open up their their respective economics e.g.

Ghana

Algeria

South Africa

I Go with 2nd option that say:

Option 2:
Lift lockdown within the country, block international flights, enforce face masks, hand washing, use of hand sanitisers, etc. And let us battle it head long till there is a cure.

Since d Government Cant Distribute Food Items Enough And Little They Are Distributing Dos Dat Are distributing majority of dem are theif.
