I support the government on this. These Shylock Lagos private school owners will stop at nothing to exploit. Let parents at least use this lockdown period to bond with their kids. Let the kids learn other things like crafts, domestic chores, etc. Let them be revising what they've been taught before, or let them just play. We run a unified academic calendar at primary and secondary level. So, if they conclude their term online, so what happens to their counterparts in government schools? 357 Likes 20 Shares |

Why? What of this week in the rural areas like maroko, Ilaje axix etc Monday Digest. It takes courage for a person to seek help in any critical situation. It takes a build up confidence for someone to knock at your door at this time. Hey! Of course people have their ego remember? Asking for financial assistance in this period or any time doesn't insinuate poverty, suffering or lack. It simply implies that they consider you as a person who they can lay their shoulders on. In any sense, kindly assist if you can in your little capacity. Do not nag, Avoid grumbling, rumbling and complaining. Even if you're not in the best position to assist, please don't make them to feel bad or dejected. Give them an assurance of hope and better future. I can bet you, many people are going through difficult time. ✍️ 18 Likes 1 Share |

If you can Afford to send your kids to a school that pays over 250k per term, then you shouldn't have complaints about devices and power you need for the online classes. Only High cost schools would offer this, so Lagos state government should leave them alone 54 Likes 3 Shares |

A case of "crab mentality" or "crab in the bucket". For those of you who aren't well read, check the meaning on Google and thank me later. 24 Likes 1 Share |

Very good... They are rushing online as if all students and pupils have constant light and access to free internet... Is it someone whose parents source of income may have potentially dried up due to covid 19 that will bear the cost of internet and fueling of generator? This epidemic should open the eyes of government on what the priority should be in terms of development for the next five-ten years... 1. Accurate and up-to-date population data for social and economic planning. 2. 18-24 hours uninterrupted electricity daily 3. Functional health system 4. Cheap access to internet. 5. Slash salaries and allowances of political office holders to 30% or less of their current value. Buhari should do it via Executive fiat and order RMAFC to immediately implement within 2 months... If NASS attempt to prevent him, I'm sure 5 million Nigerians will occupy nass in Support of the president, unless he too is not serious and honest about repositioning this country. Provide these things first and Nigerians will start hustling their way before you start thinking of constructing roads and bridges which are avenues to loot funds... 30 Likes 3 Shares |

Most private schools in Rivers State have sent memos to parents and guardians, expecting them to pay complete tuition for their wards. After incurring huge running cost to set up effective online platforms(Laptop, data, fuel...) for their wards, and also serving as minders, Parents are still expected to pay complete tuition fee. We’re doomed as a Nation! Every institution is greedy and fantastically corrupt. No private school should demand more than 20% of their original school fees for the current academic session, or they should remain shut down. After all, most parents have made little or nothing during this lockdown. 23 Likes 1 Share |

Na them sabi, not all private school has the capacity for online teaching though. But why rush to open school though when life's at stake. They should chill for now till everything is cool. 4 Likes 1 Share |
